Wynn and Encore Las Vegas feature two luxury hotel towers with a total of 4,750 spacious hotel rooms, suites and villas, approximately 192,000 square feet of casino space, 21 dining experiences featuring signature chefs and 11 bars, two award-winning spas, approximately 290,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, approximately 103,000 square feet of retail space as well as three nightclubs, a beach club and recreation and leisure facilities. In addition to two luxury retail esplanades, a Strip-front expansion, Wynn Plaza, is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.

The Poker Shift Manager is responsible for the daily poker operation during their shift. As the Poker Shift Manager, your role will include:

  • Maximizing revenue by controlling payroll.

  • Responsible for spreading the appropriate games in a timely fashion.

  • Leads and directs the poker team.

  • Accountable for diffusing problem situations and making consistent, accurate floor-calls.

Job Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Applicants must have thorough knowledge of Poker rules.

  • Requires strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Candidates must have the ability to work weekends and holidays.

  • Candidates must be able to clearly communicate in English.

  • This position requires a minimum of 10 years of operational experience.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times.

  • Candidates must be a minimum of 21 years or older.

The Poker Shift Manager is also responsible to investigate, mediate and resolve guest issues. * Greets and welcomes guests, establishes rapport, and provides excellent customer service by answering questions, and adhering to guest requests * Maintains a professional, friendly, and courteous atmosphere that provides guests with an exceptional gaming experience and ensures efficient operations * Monitors activity at Poker tables to including seating issues, game decisions, guest disputes, and suspicious activity * Ensures adherence to Nevada Gaming Control Board and Title 31 regulations * Communicates personnel and guest issues to the Director of Poker Operations * Notifies Director of Poker Operations of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely and responsible manner * Maintains general property knowledge * Protects the confidentiality of all company files and documents under their immediate control * Operates all aspects of Poker Watch software * Answers customer questions about the Poker Room, MGM Grand casino, and any promotions * Inputs player information into Patron Management software * Verifies guest play time and issues comps * Recommends counseling and other disciplinary action to Director of Poker Operations * Prepares employee evaluations and reviews * Performs all other job related duties as requested. Required: * Minimum of at least 21 years of age. * At least 2 years of experience as a Poker Supervisor. * Excellent customer service skills. * Ability to lead and mentor a team. * Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. * Professional appearance and demeanor. * Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. * High School diploma or equivalent. * Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. Preferred: * At least 3 years of experience as a Poker Supervisor at a large resort Poker Room. * Working experience with Poker events and high profile Poker players. * Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
