How this role will be impactful
Farmer Focus is seeking a dynamic 2nd Shift Manager. Primary responsibilities is overseeing shift operations to meet business objectives. The 2nd shift Manager will be accountable for all aspects of shift performance and will ensure that goals are achieved in a cost-effective manner that's consistent with quality requirements. Must be able to delegate authority to key Leaders in production, manage all functions involved within the shift, direct, and coordinate operations.
Manage daily operations within the shift
Ensure safety and efficiency of the facility
Remain in compliance with facility quality standards
Prepare, analyze, and issue production and performance reports
Control costs to achieve company budget goals
Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives
Identify opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures
What you bring to this role
B.S. in Business, Ag-business, or related curriculum
5+ years' experience in related work experience
Proven leadership, including people development and project management
Be able to communicate to all levels of the organization; possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proven record of developing and maintaining successful working relationships and serving as a liaison related to all food safety and quality matters.
Proven ability to analyze and solve complex problems
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing operations and functionality of processes, system, and equipment throughout the complete complex along with interpersonal skills to successfully manage and drive change
Must be self-directed and self-disciplined, ability to perform duties without close supervision
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The shift Manager will be required to access the production environment. Must be able to tolerate the varying heat, wet, and chill of the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment required in the production area. Required to wear hair and beard nets in the production area.
