This is a heavy Cisco networking shop with VMware, including hyper converged VxRail on premise, and VmWare Cloud on AWS in the cloud. They have a wide range of Cisco equipment, from older to current generation equipment. ASA and Firepower would be best. Firewall skills are a nice to have, but the primary focus is on routing. Cisco Nexus experience is necessary as most of their newest equipment is Nexus 9K.<br /> There will be some travel but at most once or twice per year. <div style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"> </div> <div style="padding: 0; margin: 0;"><strong>The four projects that are of most priority are:</strong></div> <ol> <li style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">​Building a new data center in Europe and moving all the network routers to the new data center</li> <li style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Global SD Wan project that will be replacing the MPLS Network with the software wide area network</li> <li style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Our client purchased another large company and the Sr. Network Engineer(s) will be responsible for helping with the infrastructure integration into the company's network</li> <li style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Moving a small data center in Canada to a new center in the US</li> </ol> </div> <u><strong>Experience/Knowledge Requirements:</strong></u> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Looking for an engineer who is very strong with routing protocols. </li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Some experience with ASA and/or Firepower firewalls and F5 Load Balancers experience would be nice, but not required</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Excellent communication and presentation skills</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Expert experience in a Cisco environment</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Would like some experience with NSX which goes along with VMware- They use VMware technologies as firewalls from applications internal to our client as opposed to the physical firewalls to protect the company inside and outside; all internal applications are virtual that is where the NSX comes into play</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Need experience with SD WAN as they are replacing their MPLS network with a software technology wide area network. It will be routing all traffic through the internet as opposed to a specific provider such as AT&T.
