Coordinate production activities within the Kitting department.
Ensure that safety procedures are followed by all employees.
Oversee production shift with the objective of safely maximizing productivity of quality products while minimizing costs.
Ensure that all processes are being followed in the completion of work tasks.
Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met.
Participate in oversight of operations, maintenance, and purchase and stocking of supplies and raw materials.
Maintain and update daily production records and produce reports as necessary.
Maintain thorough knowledge of all production processes, ISO and SOPs, continuous improvement, equipment, safety and other regulatory requirements.
Participate in scheduling of workflow through the department and modify scheduling as needed in accordance with business needs.
Organizes work for efficient operations. Ensures that departmental goals, including safety, quality, continuous improvement, and KPIs are met.
Troubleshoots processes when necessary. Works with team members to resolve, and requests other resources as necessary.
Promotes a positive work environment, sound training, and adherence to ISO work instructions and procedures.
Works closely with other departments to ensure the accuracy of work performed and the timely shipment of product to customers.

Practical knowledge in the commercial print and/or fulfillment field.

Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and database systems. Experience with WCSS, WBS, Monarch Foundation a plus. Demonstrated comfort and ability to learn and leverage new systems.
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement. Demonstrated flexibility to multi-task and shift focus and re-prioritize as the situation dictates.
3+ years experience in a supervisory capacity in a fast paced, highly variable production environment, particularly within the printing or fulfillment field.
