Shepherdsville Elementary School (SES) is looking for an Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Coach for the 2024-25 school year. SES is in need of an individual who can identify and implement appropriate MTSS interventions, collaborate and coach teachers in developing best practices that support student learning, contribute positively to the overall school culture, and work in cunjunction with the Instructional Leadership Team to make decisions that lead to high levels of engagement and learning among students. Position responsibilities and qualifications are listed below.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Kentucky teaching certificate, preferred enrollment in Principal leadership or hold an Instructional Leadership certificate.
2.Experience and such alternatives to the above qualifications as deemed appropriate and acceptable by the Kentucky Professional Standards Board.
3.Teacher Leadership experience with building culture and climate.
4.Experience in providing data-based interventions for tier 2 and tier 3.
5.Minimum teaching experience of five years.
REPORTS TO: Principal or building level administrator
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Implements Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
2.Coaches staff through conversations with students and families regarding student conduct.
3.Facilitates a team-lead functional behavior assessment and designs evidence-
based intervention plans.
4.Collects survey data from staff, students, and parents.
5.Participates in a School Improvement Planning process.
6.Implements universals as PBIS Module 1 training and planning.
7.Attends training opportunities for mental health updates.
8.Implements Board policies, administrative regulations, school rules governing
student life and conduct and develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and
procedure.
9.Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by the law and
district policy.

The MTSS Coach will work in conjuntion with the Instructional Leadership Team towards:
educators in the schoolwide integration of MTSS
Teams, and Problem Solving Teams to implement the MTSS model which
includes PBIS approaches
Coaching and training colleagues on MTSS implementation
Managing, analyzing, and utilizing student data (i.e., scoring probes, scheduling
data collection, using collected data to drive student support)
Monitoring and analyzing tardy and attendance data
Providing direct services as follows:
Training and ongoing coaching to school leadership teams and teachers on the MTSS framework
Working to develop, implement, and sustain our MTSS framework
Analyzing and utilizing student and teacher data with our School-Wide
Information System to guide data-based decision making and to enhance direct instruction
Reviewing and updating student codes of conduct
Supporting teachers in identifying student needs and providing appropriate interventions
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with
provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the 2024-2025 school year.
This position has 5 Extended Days- 192 days per year posiiton
