Sheetz Distribution Industrial Engineer I

OVERVIEW Analyze opportunities and develop methodologies to minimize cost, improve labor productivity, and improve equipment and systems utilization and serve as an unbiased analyst to Sheetz Distribution Services. RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) 1. Analyze procedures, equipment, layout, and distribution network design to identify improvements that impact space and equipment utilization, process flow, inventory management, and worker/driver productivity. Assist in developing and implementing the design and justification of new equipment or facilities to improve processes. 2. Perform analyses and time studies as necessary based upon new product introductions or updated processes and use the data collected to update standards or procedures. 3. Analyze processes to calculate operating expenses to accurately determine cost-to-serve. Develop tools to evaluate product level profitability and supply chain efficiency. 4. Assist in developing and reporting performance measures for all levels to use in monitoring business processes to ensure the implementation and maintenance of the most efficient supply chain possible. 5. Create or maintain metrics and advanced reporting to identify improvement opportunities and drive decisions. 6. Assist with the efficient implementation of other assigned projects. 7. Support the business continuity management program involving all stakeholders. 8. Suggest and support changes to configuration and utilization of distribution management systems to enhance productivity, equipment, and facility utilization. QUALIFICATIONS (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered) Education • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field required Experience • Supply chain or related internships preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Excel preferred • Knowledge of statistics and data analytics (using Tableau, SQL scripts, etc.) preferred Licenses/Certifications • None required Tools & Equipment • General office equipment ACCOMMODATIONS Sheetz is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals.
