  • Limited Salary:$40.03 hourly Job Type:Limited Department Name:3415-MAINTENANCE AND ALTERATIONS Department Website URL: Job Summary Statement:Under supervision of the Supervising Sheetmetal Worker and/or Lead Sheetmetal Worker, perform the full range of journey-level duties to fabricate, assemble, install, weld, and repair sheetmetal products and equipment such as control boxes, HVAC duct, drain pipes, ventilators using tools and equipment of the trade. Select gauge and type of metal according to product being fabricated. Weld using oxy-acetylene cutting with smooth seams, joints, and burred surfaces. Respond to trouble calls and emergency repairs or replacements. Perform detail layout of ductwork fittings; work from blueprints and drawings. Provide direction to semi-skilled or unskilled workers. Maintain accurate hours on each job; operate and maintain a variety of power and/or hand tools. Follow established safety procedures at all times including.     1.Working knowledge of materials, equipment and tools related to sheet metal trade, including achievement of operational level skills.

2.Skill in working with sheet metal, stainless steel, aluminum, various angles, channel and tubing.

3.Ability to determine gauge and type of metal to be used according to product being fabricated.

4.Skill in assembling and installing sheet metal products such as control boxes, drain pipes, duct work.

5.Skill in the set-up and operation of fabricating machines and related metal equipment in order to cut, bend, shape, and straighten metal.

6.Skill in troubleshooting metal assemblies for signs of damage and deterioration; ability to assure assemblies and installations conform to specifications.

7.Ability to read, interpret and understand technical language in structural blueprints, identify beam to column connections, and orient oneself within steel structures.

8.Skill in modifying and/or adapting designs, procedures or methods to make necessary alterations and modifications.

Responsibilities MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Positions patient under X-Ray machine, adjusts immobilization devices, and provides appropriate radiation protection. * Administers routine X-Ray exams, assists in physical exams, assists physician in treatment of injured patients by giving injections, changing dressings, or removing sutures under the physicians or nurse's directions. * Adjusts switches regulating length and intensity of exposure. Makes minor adjustments to equipment. * Prepares reports and maintains records of services rendered. * Maintains radiological film files and storage, pulls X-Rays as required for referrals and/or copying. * Keeps logs for X-Rays sent out for referrals. * Performs ancillary testing and tasks (including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing) as ordered by treating clinicians. * Prepares patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing all required testing. * Performs DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing. * Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: * Graduate of accredited program for X-Ray technicians. * Licensed in accordance with state of jurisdiction. * Medical Assistant Certification/License in accordance to state requirements and applicable regulations of jurisdiction. * Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist Certificate (LMRT) or Certification from similar Radiologic Technology Program.
