As the Sheetmetal Duct Field Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of field crews engaged in the installation of sheetmetal duct systems. Your role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of field crews. Plan, schedule, and assign work to ensure timely project completion. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide installation activities.

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Inspect work sites to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation.

Train and mentor field staff, promoting a culture of safety and excellence. Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and project progress. Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.

Manage inventory and order materials and supplies as needed. Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce company safety policies. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certification in sheetmetal work is preferred.

Proven experience as a sheetmetal duct installer, with several years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, sheetmetal ductwork, and installation techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with hand and power tools used in sheetmetal work. Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to various job sites as required. Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment. Capability to work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and climbing. Willingness to work in different environments, such as outdoor sites or confined spaces.
