Sheet Metal Roofer - Journeyman Or Apprentice

Adco Roofing & Waterproofing is a leading commercial and industrial roofing and Sheet Metal contractor, and we are looking for immediate hire an experienced Sheet Metal Journeyman, or Apprentice. Job Responsibilities

• Utilize and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products.

• Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools such as scribes, measuring tape, calculators, and squares.

• Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, caulk, screws and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will last.

• Install assemblies of Metal roof/wall systems including pipes, HVAC ducts flashings, rain gutters and furnace casings.

• Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearance.

• Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools by installing and fabricating sheet metal works.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Ability to lift heavy materials and tools

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints

• Organizational skills

• math skills

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to carry heavy sheets

• Not afraid of heights, and able to climb/stand and work from ladders

• Valid CA Driver's License
