Sheet Metal Mechanic

Job Description Job Description Proman Skilled Trades is currently seeking a dedicated Sheetmetal Mechanic to join our team. As a Sheetmetal Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in installing HVAC materials, fabricating or modifying parts, and ensuring the proper installation of ductwork and sheet metal assemblies according to blueprints and specifications.

A valid driver's license is a mandatory requirement for this position. Essential Duties: The Sheetmetal mechanic will install HVAC materials:

You will be responsible for the precise installation of various HVAC materials, including round pipe/spiral duct, flex duct, motorized dampers, fire dampers, air devices, louvers, and air moving equipment. The Sheetmetal mechanic will fabricate or modify parts: Utilizing a range of tools such as shears, brakes, saws, and welding equipment, you will fabricate or modify parts as necessary to meet project specifications.

The Sheetmetal mechanic will install ductwork and sheet metal assemblies: Following detailed blueprints and specifications, you will install ductwork and sheet metal assemblies with precision, ensuring proper alignment and fit. The Sheet metal mechanic will fasten seams and joints:

Seamlessly fasten seams and joints using bolts, cement, rivets, caulk, and clips to guarantee air-tight installations. The Sheetmetal mechanic will drill and punch holes: Skillfully drill and punch holes in metal as required, and install duct taps for efficient connections.

The Sheetmetal mechanic will operate equipment: Safely operate equipment such as man lifts, personal lifts, chain hoists, and duct jacks to facilitate installations efficiently and securely. The Sheetmetal mechanic will perform related duties and special projects:

Complete related duties as assigned by supervisors and actively participate in special projects to ensure timely and successful project completion. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Sheetmetal Mechanic.

Valid driver's license. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.

Ability to effectively utilize various hand and power tools.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong problem-solving abilities. Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
