Responsibilities

  • You will pass on instructions received from supervisors and get work started.

  • You will work along with other workers and set the pace.

  • You will ensure plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available and needed stock is obtained from supply locations.

  • You will provide assistance and answer questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives.

  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

  • Referral lists will be issued on an as needed basis as vacancies occur.

  • Applicants rated ineligible (e.g. due not originally meeting the screen-out element or not submitting proof of eligibility) need to reapply for further consideration.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

  • This position may be subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

  • All eligibility and qualifications requirements must be met by the referral cut-off date

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
