Produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will set up and operate machines used in the shaping and alteration of sheet metal. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production and quality improvements.

YOU MUST HAVE

SUMMARY The Mechanic will be responsible performing preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs and installation of machinery and equipment and oversee all aspects of parts inventory for the plant. This position is team oriented driven, with excellent communication within the departments as well as the ability to identify problems with team members before issues arise. Essential Job Functions * Assists and supports in repairs of faulty machine components such as (but not limited to): motors, drives, pneumatics, valves, sprockets, chains and drive gearing component. • Executes daily machine inspections, lubrication, machine star-up, clean-up, changeovers and adjustments to maintain the greatest operational efficiency. • Possess a broad general knowledge of welding techniques (i.e. MIG, TIG, and Stick) and must be able to apply these techniques to various operations within the plant. • Operate various power tools including but not limited to torque wrenches, calipers, and, gauges in a safe and proficient manner. • Responsible for the planning and preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery. • Ability to complete all work in accordance with EPA, OSHA, NED, NFPA70 standards. • Responsible for maintaining the parts and supply inventory which includes organization, ordering, and cataloging. • Excellent documentation and communication skills both oral and written. • Participate in root cause failure analysis to eliminate repeat occurrences on maintenance issues with team. • Responsible to perform duties and activities as directed by management. • Maintain continuous improvement and comply with all safety requirements. • Perform variety of administrative duties and work on projects as assigned. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years' experience in high speed manufacturing environment. • Technical training or 2 years basic field experience in mechanical, hydraulic systems, and basic electrical. • 1 year in a lean manufacturing environment. • Experienced welding and fabrication, plumbing, pipefitting, metalworking and or carpentry • Understanding of OSHA and EPA preferred • Intermediate Computer Skills including knowledge of MS Office • Working knowledge of JDE E1 preferred • Working knowledge of CMMS preferred • Knowledge of HVAC systems preferred • Ability to work 8 rotating shift, overtime when necessary, weekends and graveyard shift (flexibility). Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance functions with a sense of urgency. Available 24/7 on call. • Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience preferred • Must meet deadlines and deliver quality results. • Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, complexity and work within a fast paced, dynamic environment. • Working Conditions: The production facility is within an indoor/outdoor, industrial environment and is not climate controlled. Mechanic will regularly enter areas that require the use of stairs or ladders, respirator protection, and enter closely confined spaces.
