Environmental Health and Safety Manager for 10 chemical sites and three equipment sites as part of the North America Nalco Water group. The Nalco Water SHE Manager is an important member of the Nalco Water Division leadership team, reporting to the Nalco Water Division SHE Manager. This position is key to building and maintaining a strong SHE culture throughout the organization. The candidate must enjoy working with a team of Supply Chain SHE leaders and plant managers to drive environmental, personal safety and process safety related programs that ensure both compliance and on-going improvement in employee safety, process safety, industrial hygiene and impacts to the environment. The SHE manager would also guide compliance with company-wide policies and best practices, as well as Responsible Care initiatives, keeping all sites in line with Ecolab's core values.
The Nalco Water SHE manager should have a working knowledge of the technical aspects of various regulatory requirements and how they may impact each plant site. S/he must stay well-informed of safety and environmental regulations, such as OSHA, Process Safety Management, and Clean Air and Water Acts, (RCRA) Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and ensure that the facility maintains compliance while also supporting continuous improvement in injury reduction, process safety event reduction and pollution prevention.
What You Will Do:
Provides technical expertise to assist with OSHA and Environmental regulatory compliance.
Ensure implementation of all company SHE initiatives and programs.
Develops, communicates and initiates improvements based on trends in audit findings, corrective actions, safety loss data and best practices through the site OGSM process
Ensures effectiveness of incident investigations involving process and personal injuries.
Ensures compliance of industrial hygiene and chemical exposure mitigation programs.
Ensures all health and safety related activities such as PHAs, FHAs and Hazard/Risk Assessments are completed as needed.
Contributes to the improvement/design of processes, equipment, and SOPs.
Audits compliance records and permit requirements for air, water, and solid waste.
Supports ECAP and other internal audit preparation and then works with leadership to ensure any findings are addressed.
Degree in occupational safety, environmental, health, or a related field.
8+ years' experience in Environmental, Health and Safety.
Familiarity with OSHA and EPA Regulations and Ecolab SHE programs.

Prior supply chain experience in program management
