Seton Home works to break the cycle of abuse and poverty by providing a caring home, education, and support services necessary to transform the lives of pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their children.


The Lead Clinician will be responsible overseeing the clinical and parenting services provided at Seton Home, to include but not limited to: individual, family, and group therapy. The Lead Clinician will conduct and oversee assessments and is responsible for the development and implementation of therapeutic treatment plans. The Lead Clinician will offer recommendations for clients permanency planning. The Lead Clinician is directly supervised by the Program Director or designee and is subject to work overtime and be on-call for clients and staff. Maintains necessary client records, provides liaison with referral sources and providers. The clinician will assist in discharge planning and other duties as assigned. The clinician will follow all Seton Home policies regarding reporting abuse and neglect.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all therapeutic and parenting treatment interventions;

  • Oversee and monitor the completion of all service plans;

  • Oversee and monitor all clinical and family entries into designated portal;

  • Train new clinical and parenting staff;

  • Provide supervision and support to all clinical staff in an effort to meet or exceed program outcomes;

  • Conduct intake interviews and assess client mental health as needed;

  • Prepare goal-oriented treatment plans, diagnostic assessments, service plans, and progress reports;

  • Facilitate client groups on specific issues as needed;

  • Provide case consultations and/or crisis interventions;

  • Maintain therapeutic services within Seton Home and funding source guidelines;

  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas of client and program operations;

  • Maintain professional and ethical standards as prescribed by Seton Home Program and the professional code of ethics;

  • Role model a professional demeanor at all times;

  • Comply with the agency and program policy and procedure manual;

  • Comply with all Licensing standards as well as funding source guidelines;

  • Obtaining professional certificates;

  • Attend and participate in all required professional training, workshops and or continuing education;

  • Conduct and coordinate client assessments and recommendations for client permanency plan;

  • Conduct counseling sessions with clients as needed;

  • Maintain communication with case managers on a consistent basis;

  • Develop and implement client tracking and status reports for monthly review/audit of clinical department;

  • Complete outcomes for residents at time of discharge or at 40 days;

  • Complete measurements;

  • Close out client files;

  • Review PREA with residents and staff;

  • Attend weekly treatment meetings to maintain current information and support;

  • Identify clinical program needs and develop/facilitate staff trainings within the Trauma Informed Care model;

  • Facilitate and track TIC Chats with direct care staff;

  • Assume ON CALL duties after regular business hours, including nights and weekends and holidays;

  • Complete Measurements and Outcomes on Kaleidacare;

  • Assist with auditing case files/ORR Portal;

  • Assist with ratio as necessary;

  • Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others;

  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information;

  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory;

  • Other duties as assigned by Director, Senior Director or Vice President.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities- The Lead Clinician is responsible for the direct supervision of Seton Homes Clinicians and Parenting staff. The Lead Clinician ensures that services are provided in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures, TDFPS Minimum Standards, Office of Refugee Resettlement- Division of Unaccompanied Children's Services National Care Standards, and other stakeholders. The Lead Clinician is supervised by Emergency Shelter Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education

  • Masters degree in social work, 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience;

  • or Masters degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement, plus 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience;

  • or bachelors degree plus 5 years clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences;

  • Experience

  • Masters degree in social work, 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience;

  • or Masters degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement, plus 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience;

  • or bachelors degree plus 5 years clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences;

  • Preferred 2 years Supervisory Experience;

  • Minimum of Supervisory Experience;

  • License and Credentials

  • Be licensed to provide clinical services in the State where the care provider is located;

  • Reliable transportation;

  • Valid driver license;

  • Valid vehicle insurance;

  • Submit to a state and federal background check, Child abuse and neglect registry check, and Tuberculosis screening;

  • Be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive working knowledge of TDFPS Minimum Standards, and Office of Refugee Resettlement- Division of Unaccompanied Children's Services National Care Standards;

  • Possess therapeutic sensitivity to the service population cultural and socio-economic characteristics.

  • Experience with computer software and MS Office (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneDrive);

  • A solid grasp of managing multi-disciplinary teams and progressive management;

  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;

  • Must have good written and verbal skills;

  • Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills;

  • Must be bilingual

Travel Requirements:

Travel requirements for the position includes 10% local and 10% overnight.
