Global Engineering and Technology (GET) is looking for an experienced SharePoint Specialist to assist and support the Headquarters of the United States Southern Command (HQ USSOUTHCOM) in the Miami metropolitan area.

Assist U.S. Southern Command personnel by managing and maintaining SharePoint environments as needed by each team.

Perform delicate and important work in support of USSOUTHCOM's missions, operations, and exercises. This front-line position requires a professional that adapts and responds as needed to rapidly changing requirements.

The specialist shall:

  • Ensure stakeholders that the highest standards and commercial best practices for information availability and preservation are followed and implemented
  • Develop training materials and aids for end-users
  • Maintain adequate logs and records of technical work and implementation

USSOUTHCOM's Area of Responsibility (AOR) includes, but is not limited to South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The SharePoint Specialist shall provide support for AOR activities such as database management, records management, information access, research, direct assistance support, and training development.

The SharePoint Specialist may be required to deploy to CONUS or OCONUS locations in support of U.S. national security objectives.


Security Clearance

  • Candidate must have a current SECRET security clearance or greater

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree and hands-on experience and knowledge relating to advanced SharePoint deployment
  • Advanced Microsoft SharePoint software experience
  • Database Management familiarity
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing while demonstrating strong analytical skills, reading comprehension, and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and adjust to established work patterns and processes as required

Desired Certifications

  • CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certification
