PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This role will be supporting the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) Headquarters (HQ) at USFF Norfolk, Virginia at a Government facility/site. As a member of their USFF Communications and Information Systems Division (N6) Support Team, you will significantly contribute to Navy Fleet Readiness and Homeland Security. The team is involved in information technology (IT) support tasks including but are not limited to Program Management support, Network Engineering support, Maritime Operations Center/Tactical Systems support, Video Teleconferencing and Audio/Visual support, Portal Management and Application Development support, Staff IT Business Process/IT Services support, Satellite Communications Planning support, Information Assurance (IA)/Certification and Accreditation support, Database Administration support, Communications Security/EKMS support, and general IT support, as well as maintenance, updating and enhancement of developed application/software.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain all servers that support SharePoint deployed at USFF HQ.

  • Implement and manage SharePoint features, applications and functionalities.

  • Perform computer networking and storage services to include active directory management and configuration, system backup and restore, Hyper-V, VMWare, SAN, Microsoft SQL, ADFS, WAP, Microsoft IIS, Backup/Restore, Clustering, Data Replication, Microsoft .NET Framework, and security implementation (STIG/IAVA).

  • Use PowerShell and other scripting technologies to automate processes.

  • Troubleshoot, resolve or mitigate issues on SharePoint and systems that supports SharePoint such as Operating System, VMWare, MS SQL, IIS, ADFS, WAP, AD and .NET.

  • Develop and execute projects and plans in implementing Microsoft SharePoint Technologies to include but not limited to site design, user account management, BI (business intelligence), Excel/Access Services, InfoPath, and workflows.

  • Develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) on all projects and tasks pertaining to SharePoint.

  • Provide user training in the use of SharePoint delivered via online or classroom environment.

  • Provide user support on SharePoint Portals.

  • Develop and write SharePoint technical guides and training materials.

  • Customize and design sites/pages and master pages.

  • Participates in requirements gatherings and meetings.

  • Provide insight and recommendations to the government technical lead on industry best practices for the use of SharePoint and related technologies.

  • Support monthly ASIs and emergent outages.

  • Develop POAM for all projects and tasks to include SharePoint cloud/on premise solutions

  • Align SharePoint with DOD ZeroTrust policy and architecture standards

  • Plan, coordinate, and support migration effort according to changing technologies.

  • Create SharePoint Server Architecture design to include new and innovative technology

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Technology or Associate Degree in Computer Science with additional 2 years' experience.

  • Minimum of 6 years of in-depth experience, proficiency and knowledge of SharePoint (2010 or higher).

  • Minimum of 6 years of in-depth experience, proficiency and knowledge of Windows O/S (Windows 2012 or higher).

  • Minimum of 6 years of in-depth experience, proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Service 6

  • Minimum of 6 years of in-depth experience, proficiency and knowledge of Active Directory,

  • Minimum of 4 years of in-depth experience, proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft ASP.NET.

  • Minimum of 4 years of in-depth experience, proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft SQL (2008 or higher).

  • Minimum of 3 years of in-depth experience, proficiency and knowledge in implementing networking (IP, DNS, VLAN etc.), virtualization (Hyper-V and VMWare), encryption, certificates/PKI, SAN devices, Load Balancing, Clusters, Backups/Recovery and Data Replication.

  • Minimum of 3 years of in-depth experience, proficiency in coding/writing scripts such as PowerShell and JavaScript

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Productivity. MCSE certification must be one of the current published paths by or follow-on certification with emphasis on the platform or system being supported in this SOW.

  • Must have an active Secret clearance.

  • CSWF Qualification - Intermediate
