The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) is responsible for five agencies and departments under the organization. EOLWD and its agencies are committed to developing a world-class, highly skilled labor force to support business growth and innovation in the Commonwealth.
EOLWD is looking for an eager and motivated individual to join the team as a SharePoint Developer. The SharePoint Developer will have an opportunity to work in various Windows technologies and SharePoint sites. The team is looking for someone to leverage their expertise/ knowledge within these technologies and continue to grow as part of the team.
Works as a SharePoint developer, web developer, and maintain responsibility for supporting need of various business groups and internal clients.
Develops, enhances, tests, supports, maintains and debugs software applications and interfaces that support business units. Support the development of technical solution documentation and training.
Design, maintain, improve, integrate, and develop online SharePoint 2016 solution. Plan, lead, and execute SharePoint and other .Net web development tasks.
Works with end users to develop and modify SharePoint 2016 sites. Captures requirements, develops site content framework and SharePoint web parts. Trains end users and updates SharePoint tools and objects in response to evolving user needs.
Works independently to identify and execute maintenance and upgrade activities for assigned SharePoint 2016 sites.
Develop solutions to urgent business problems, leveraging existing tools and services wherever possible and otherwise building them as custom applications.
Ability to leverage expertise in time management to complete assignments independently and effectively.
Works on creating new interface for and support current Interface for SharePoint 2016 sites that provides information from various applications, (create or leverage APIs) wherever possible.
Perform the above duties while maintaining application security, SDLC, and change management best practices.
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhances and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
3-5 years of professional experience.
BS degree or higher in a technical discipline.
Professional in demeanor and high customer service and interaction skills.
Has good communication skills and ability to work with minimal guidance.
In depth knowledge of SharePoint Administration-, site libraries, workflows, OOB Development, Taxonomy and Governance.
Good working knowledge of InfoPath development, forms and workflows use.
Strong skills in HTML5 programing.
Strong aptitude for learning new skills and applications.
PowerShell experience a plus.
Experience administering and developing with SharePoint.
Experience with IIS7
Knowledge of Group Policy development and deployment.
Working knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and administration.
SDLC: 3 years

Minimum Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must have at least (A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in electronic data processing of which (B) at least two years must have been in work in which the major duties included computer systems analysis, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
I. An Associate's degree with a major in the field of data processing or computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.*
II. A Bachelor's degree with a major in the field of data processing or computer and/or information science may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.*
III. A Graduate degree with a major in the field of data processing or computer and/or information science may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.*
IV. A diploma for completion of a two year full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized non-degree granting business or vocational/technical school above the high school level with a major in the field of computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.*
V. An official transcript from a recognized business or vocational/ technical school as evidence of completion of a program consisting of at least 650 hours of instruction in the field of computer programming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.
VI. Graduation from the data processing course of a recognized vocational/technical high school may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.
