The SharePoint Administrator will serve as a member of the DHA Web Services Team. DHA Web Services is an environment that supports 25 locations worldwide, operates within a 24x7 team of engineers in support of 60,000+ users and provides Tier III support. Primary duties will include: Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 server and infrastructure administration; SharePoint
2013 server and infrastructure administration; and MS SQL 2012 and 2012 server and infrastructure administration.
The successful candidate will be working with multiple SharePoint versions with multiple farms, and will be responsible for assisting with the upgrade from 2013 to 2019 and migration to Amazon Web Services (AWS). The SharePoint Engineer should understand how farms can be scaled out and how to manage resources for the specific services utilized in a SharePoint environment.
The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years' experience working with Microsoft SharePoint. The candidate will ideally have experience with SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2019 migrations and AWS. The SharePoint administrator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and optimizing the SharePoint environment. Provide end user support and troubleshooting of all supported environments. Work with other internal teams supporting internal imitates.
The SharePoint Administrator should know their way around Central Administration from search settings to creating site collections. He or she should also have a solid understanding of IIS, Active directory and SharePoint Powershell cmdlets. Most importantly they should have a firm understanding of what SharePoint can do OOTB (out of the box) and what it cannot do without major manipulation. In addition to SharePoint specific technical skills, they should have a broad knowledge of Windows networking and authentication. They should know how to troubleshoot network connection and authentication problems and be comfortable with using a variety of utilities such as Network Monitor, Wire Shark, SysInternals tools, and Fiddler. Experience with ControlPoint, Varonis, Adobe software is a plus but not required.
An effective team member will have the ability to meet targets under constraints, a strong ability to grasp new concepts with ease, excellent presentation skills, an effective communicator both verbal and written.
