What You Will Do:
Responsiblefor planning, directing and controlling the billing and office and officesupport functions. This position directsadministrative audit services and operations for the palliative programincluding billing, purchasing, communications systems, space utilization, andmail services. This position coordinatessystems and procedures with medical records, data entry, claims review andpersonnel function to ensure efficient operations in the palliative program.
Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or third party payors, through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary.
Assists Palliative Program Manager in maintaining required information for audits and licensure reviews including keeping policy and procedure books and records up to date.
Audits palliative care billing systems to ensure accurate and timely billing processes.
Follows process outlined in palliative care handbook for referred entity, visit verification, end of month billing, processing all BOM workflow schedule and visits.
Assess, analyzes and monitors administrative care center systems and procedures for multiple sites. Makes recommendation for improved systems and procedures and increased efficiency of operations.
Input referrals, send completed visit notes and track census.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma required. Bachelor Degree in business or related field preferred.
Minimum of Two (2) years office or related experience. Healthcare environment preferred.
Strong computer and software skills.
Working knowledge of record keeping and office administration.
Dependable transportation, valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.
