Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a Supervisor, NA Supplier Services at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

The Supervisor, Shared Business Supplier Services, provides day to day leadership for 6 to 12 team members in North America Supplier Services within Shared Business Services.

This position is directly accountable for:

  • Assessing and balancing workload for multiple sub-processes supporting daily operations, month end activities and special initiatives

  • Ensuring completeness and accuracy of accounts payable data, related general ledger accounts and applicable reporting.

  • Driving adherence to governance standards against internal and external controls within the end to end RtP process.

  • Advocating operating cost efficiency.

  • Establish targets for key AP/RTP metrics and empower team performance to achieve targets

  • Best-practice sharing and process convergence regionally and globally for Supplier Services sub-processes

  • Develop the skills and competencies of team members through engagement and training across multiple processes.

  • Provide ongoing and ad-hoc reporting to the business and functions enabling effective decision making

  • Maintain appropriate levels of service to internal clients as well as our suppliers.

  • Sustain relationships with 3rd party providers such as banking and credit card partners.

This position and the other leadership positions within North America Supplier Services supervises the following sub-processes: Scanning, Supplier Invoice Processing, Payment Control, Credit Card Administration, Purchase Order Processing, Vendor Master Data and RtP Technology Enablement. The specific sub-process responsibilities for this position will be determined based on the experience and work-process knowledge of the successful candidate.

Key qualifications for applicants to include:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Accounting, Finance preferred)

  • Understanding of the end-to-end transactional processes associated with Accounts Payable and/or Purchase Order Processing.

  • Knowledge of transactions in SAP ERP that support Accounts Payable (FI) and Purchase Order Processing (MM)

  • Ability to utilize technology to drive compliance and operating efficiency

  • Some Supervisory experience is helpful

  • Understanding of financial controls including SOX and segregation of duties
