Northwest Ohio Community Action Commission (NOCAC)is a locally controlled, private, non-profit organization that was incorporated in 1965. NOCAC is a primary source of direct support for more than 500 low-income households in our six-county jurisdiction. In 2017, NOCAC's Financial Empowerment Program, Summer Food Service Program, and Ohio Benefit Tax Clinics: -Provided 15,713 lunches to 2,393 individual children, engaging 790 volunteers who donated 2,788 hours of service through the Summer Foods Program.
1,495 tax returns were filed by volunteer counselors who donated 745 hours of their time resulting in refunds of $1,838,564 -Served 466 children, ages 3-5 and their families through Head Start.
102 homeless households were served through Rapid Re-Housing and Homelessness Prevention
