Required Degree: A Masters or PhD in Human Development, Family Studies, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field is required.

Required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience: Teaching experience at the university level in Human Development, Family Studies, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants who have taught Human Development classes at the university level in the past.

Duties/Expectations:

Successful applicants will teach a 3-credit, semester class on Media, Family, and Human Development to about 40 undergraduate students in the School of Family Life. By the end of the semester students in this class should be able to:

Discuss the frequency of use of forms of media.

Describe the major theories and associated research that are used to describe media research.

Critically examine media theory and research in the field and apply course material to your own experiences.

Understand how media may influence human development.

Discuss how media can shape the family.

This includes managing 25-30 student employees as well as managing the social media campaigns for Admissions. This includes the development and execution of the drip campaign communications. Essential Functions Campus Tours and Supervision of Student Employees (40%) * Manage student shift leaders and ensure all duties are being executed appropriately * Manage training of all student employee to include * Updates on policies and procedures * Ensure employees certify on campus tour exam * Maintain supervisor level of golf cart training per Risk Management Guidelines * Regular review and updates through training and staff meetings * Manage work responsibilities and work load of student employees * Work with Admission Outreach CRM Admin for tour content and process to ensure tours are meeting overall Outreach objectives and vision * Track and report on the campus tours program * Develop a reporting and analytics strategy that includes monthly and yearly statistics for the program * Develop new campus tours system within Salesforce * Oversee the campus tours survey Digital Media Strategist (40%) * Maintain Admission's social media communication channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) * Schedule posts, determine content for social media * Respond to questions over digital channels, including those escalated from BYU's social channels * Coordinate Admission's social media channels with other departments * Create and maintain multiple drip campaigns and content for admission recruiting in Salesforce CRM * Create and maintain events in CRM * Troubleshoot, report, and resolve problems * Track and report on digital media efforts * Develop a reporting and analytics strategy that includes monthly and yearly statistics for the program Admissions Support (10%) * Counsel with prospective students and their families * Meet with prospective students and families and counsel about applying to BYU Admission Committee Member (5%) * Participate in and certify in admission committee member training * Participate as an official member of the undergraduate admission committee Citizenship (5%) * Serve on various committees as assigned * Contribute to the fulfillment of the Mission, Vision, and Values of the university * Promote a positive image of Enrollment Services and of the University * Support activities of the Executive Director of Enrollment Services and other university departments * Relate well with other university employees * Adhere to university standards and policies * Promote awareness and compliance with university citizenship standards within the division * Maintain good public relations with campus departments, off-campus vendors, and BYU students, faculty, and staff by properly and expeditiously handling their service needs, questions, and problems.
