Experience: Demonstrated success creating and facilitating sexual violence prevention education, trainings, and workshops to students and community partners. Experience working with and providing services to students impacted by housing insecurity, gender-based violence, and other related crisis case management support through a trauma informed care approach.

Education: Degree from a four-year college or university in a Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Public Health or related field required. A master's degree in counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work or a job‑related field plus graduate course work in counseling techniques, interviewing and conflict resolution preferred.

  • Passionate about supporting survivors of sexual and domestic violence and conducting work around preventing violence on campus with young adults.

  • Demonstrated ability to use organizational skills to efficiently develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate student-facing programs.

  • Experience working with local community resources and developing partnerships that enhance student success.

  • Demonstrated ability in managing difficult and complex situations involving students who lack essential resources.

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working with college-age populations from a wide variety of countries of origin with multi-racial, ethnic, and cultural identities; multi-gender and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQQ) identities; disabilities; and a myriad of beliefs.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.

  • The incumbent shall be a person whose primary responsibilities are providing case management and assistance to survivors of Sexual Misconduct. The incumbent must have received a certificate evidencing completion of a training program in the counseling of Sexual Assault victims issued by a counseling center that meets the criteria for the award of a grant established pursuant to California Penal Code §13837 and who meets one of the following requirements: 1. Has a master's degree in social work or a related field; or has two years of counseling experience, at least six months of which is in rape crisis counseling; or 2. Has 40 hours of training as described below and is supervised by an individual who qualifies as a psychotherapist or counselor under paragraph (1). The training, supervised by a person qualified under paragraph (1), shall include but not be limited to the following areas: Law, Medicine, Societal attitudes, Crisis intervention and counseling techniques, Role playing, Referral Services, Sexuality.
