Job Title: Servo Signal Processing Engineer
About the Role You will:
Develop and deploy advanced embedded control and signal processing technologies to meet the high-density tracking, performance, and reliability requirements of enterprise hard disk drive systems.
Develop algorithms for position feedback tracking control, vibration compensation, motor control, servo pattern demodulation and seek waveform generation
Develop real-time embedded firmware and electronics for realization of advanced high complexity control systems
Specify, integrate, and validate electronic and electrical systems to enable realization of the control system requirements
Deploy technical solutions into high volume manufacturing, ensuring high product quality, reliability, and production yield
About Our Group
Servo Engineering's primary mission is to provide robust ultra-precision position control technologies to enable aggressive advancement in high performance HDD density growth.
The team also serves a critical HDD Systems role, working closely with and enabling other functions in the disciplines of Electrical, Recording Technology, Tribology, Customer Interface, Manufacturing, and Reliability.
Successful Servo Systems Engineers have excellent breadth and depth of technical capabilities, and work effectively within a highly dynamic and capable team in a high technology lab environment.

Your Experience Includes:
Advanced position control and signal processing design
Analog and digital electronics design
Real-time embedded firmware design
Object oriented programming and embedded system integration
Advanced Matlab and C programming
Accomplished lab skills, including operation of oscilloscopes, trace tools, data collection tools, and data analysis techniques
Bachelor's Degree in related field and 8+ years' experience
Location: Shakopee, MN
Travel: up to 10%
