Showcasing excellence and innovation at every stage, Product Management is responsible for formulation of strategic business plans for Dell Technologies Solutions & Deploy Service offers and will be responsible for the cross-functional management of service products or solutions through their entire lifecycle. The position will be responsible for driving product management processes to optimize product definition, maximize the value of Deploy offers to the Dell Technologies business, positively drive the customer experience, and differentiate Dell Technologies in the marketplace. This role will also involve acting as the Subject Matter Expert that understands the competitive ecosystem and will be responsible for creation of content that clearly describes our Solutions & Deploy service vision for customers, analysts, and internal audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages the development of new service offers and features, working with development teams, without direct supervision.

  • Evaluates and drives the offer development processes. Works closely with product teams, sellers, and service development to ensure the blend of trade-offs are understood to maximize the product impact in the marketplace (customer use cases, competitive feature, timing, costs, and internal capabilities).

  • Work collaboratively to make decisions on capabilities to be developed and new features to be added. Ensure new initiatives and features are designed in a way that shapes the direction for the customer experience in alignment with the product, service and overall company strategies.

  • Lead multiple cross-functional teams defining the detailed use cases to ensure we bring the right service offers and capabilities to market to solve our customer's business problems.

  • Support senior staff with research, development, and presentation of new offer concepts to gain timely management approval and handling of issues for product feature/function set.

  • Supports the development and implementation of the company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working in Product or Portfolio Management andtypically requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6+ years with a Master's degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; OR equivalent working experience.

  • Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge with a strong technical aptitude.

  • Experience working directly with external customers and sale teams with ability to determine customer problem sets.

  • Ability to influence others to achieve results and work across teams to share optional solutions to the best approach.

  • Skilled leading, collaborating and working with geographically distributed teams and multiple programs simultaneously.

  • Innovative ability to problem solve and find creative solutions to business processes in order to improve the product development process.

  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills, leadership, time management, problem resolution and team building skills are required.

Preferred:

  • Pragmatic Marketing certified

  • Experience delivering computing, storage, or networking platforms to the market is a major plus.

As a Product Marketing Manager for Dell Technologies Services, you will be responsible for creating the positioning, messaging, collateral, online content and sales enablement materials for our portfolio of Services and Technologies (ProSupport Suite, ProDeploy Suite, SupportAssist, TechDirect, Secure Remote Services, MyService360, etc.), which enable our support and deployment services for infrastructure and data center solutions. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into customer benefits are crucial. You will be expected to become an expert on our services and technologies, the market and competition, and be able to translate this knowledge into high-impact materials that clearly communicate the value of our technologies to the market. Candidates should be story tellers with a passion and strength in creating messaging and content that engages audiences and creates a buzz in the market. Responsibilities: * Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Dell Technologies Services in the market * Create high-impact internal and customer-facing materials that clearly communicate the value and unique advantage of our technologies * Create high-impact internal and customer-facing materials for advanced technologies: servers, storage, networking, infrastructure, cloud, etc. and the services sold with them * Develop website content to drive demand through clear, high-impact product information * Develop and manage product collateral including datasheets, whitepapers, case studies, and customer presentations * Write marketing materials for commercial and enterprise audiences * Competitive analysis – must be able to understand and document competitors advanced technologies offers/services and compare them to Dell Technologies offers/services * Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the Dell Technologies Services and develop the sales training that supports the selling process * Sales awareness – develop unique sales awareness campaigns * Product Lifecycle – have a good understanding of the product lifecycle process and capable of driving product marketing requirements * Product launch – coordinate closely with services marketing, product management, sales and web teams on the launch and promotion of new technology features * Market intelligence – be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on the competition * Market trends – understanding of big data intelligence and emerging trends including machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence and augmented reality Role Requirements: * 8+ years of product marketing experience in services or for related hardware * Bachelor's in business or marketing * Must be capable of confidently presenting to executives, sales and customers * Must be a great writer with experience developing high-impact sales and marketing material * Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of establishing credibility with internal stakeholders, sales, customers and the development team * Experience in developing effective and creative product marketing collateral, including online content, event marketing content, data sheets, podcasts, blogs, videos, white papers and content optimized for social media. * Experience managing external agency relationships and creative. * Software marketing and/or technology industry experience a plus. * Experience in a global role preparing marketing materials for global audiences. * Candidates should be located in Austin or Round Rock area.
