The ES&P Engagement Layer is a single, personalized ServiceNow interface intended to provide an intuitive User Experience layer that helps guide users' requests and tasks that engage Enterprise Sourcing and Procurement teams and systems (both on premise and vendor-hosted).
As a ServiceNow engineer, you will be involved in building user-focused enhancements and innovative technical solutions to improve business efficiency through automation, routing, and a user-centric intuitive interface. You'll be a key contributor in a DevOps team of analysts, testers and developers working a backlog of enhancements and defects, doing what it takes to get the job done.
Collaborate with application owners and System Architect to execute system integrations; work with application owners to build understanding of systems or APIs involved in integrations
Understand how integrations impact system supply chain
Develop software that meets user story acceptance criteria
Innovate for user experience
Thoughtfully apply automation to improve user efficiency
Automate test cases for fellow developers' work
Support business partners in development and maintenance of system
Support production users through monitoring and working incident tickets
Attend daily standups to keep others informed of your progress and to collaborate with fellow team members
Ensure system is securely developed for reusability and resiliency
Ensure code and configuration support enterprise scalability
Review API documentation to understand how to develop integrations with given APIs or systems
Provide guidance and coaching to India-based developers
Identify areas of optimization, performance improvements and user experience benefits that exceed customer expectations

4 years of software development experience
3 years ServiceNow experience
2 years Agile Scrum experience
ServiceNow Fundamentals, ServiceNow Application Development Certification or System Admin Certification
CI/CD and test-driven development
Selenium ( or other automated testing tool experience)
Excellent understanding of data structures, algorithms, object oriented design, and design patterns
Excellent debugging, testing, and problem solving skills
