You're a great fit if you

  • Have experience in supporting ITSM capabilities as a ServiceNow admin, consultant, and/or developer

  • Interface with business and technical stakeholders to learn about business needs and be able to translate those needs and implement them in a ServiceNow solution

  • Design, develop and maintain complex workflows rules, validation rules, and custom workflow, etc.

  • Audit, uncover, and resolve data integrity issues

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new feature technical design, technical requirements, limitations, and implementation

  • Create reports and configure dashboards for supported users and offices that provide customer and service fulfillment metrics

  • Collaborate with Program Management, Development, and Help Desk teams to create and publish support wiki articles and best practice artifacts describing developed modules and ServiceNow configurations

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of application/tool functionality. Analyze and mitigate issues identified during testing

  • Identify opportunities for application optimization, redesign, or development for users and offices supported by ServiceNow

  • Develop integration components between ServiceNow and other enterprise platform components (SSO, LDAP, etc.)

  • Understand the ITIL framework and have experience implementing Service Operations processes and best practices

  • 2+ years of ServiceNow Consulting and Development experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical resource on development and O&M engagements at customer sites

  • Ability to coordinate with implementation partners, IT managers, internal stakeholders and developers in providing solution suggestions and constructive feedback

  • Experience in working with Web and Scripting Technologies (XML, HTML, Web Services, Java, Apache Tomcat, JavaScript)

  • Ability to multi-task, and handle urgent interrupts with high level of professionalism

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • BS Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, and/or related field

  • You have a Secret Clearance

  • You are a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist, and/or Certified Application Developer

  • You are experienced in integrating on-premises and cloud based 3rd party systems with ServiceNow; specifically, existing solutions developed using Microsoft SharePoint 2013 and Javascript

  • You also understand key organizational and process maturity frameworks such as ITIL and CMMI; specifically, as they relate to the ServiceNow Management applications: Incident Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, Problem Management, Knowledge Management, and Configuration Management.

  • You have the CompTIA Security+ Certification

What your day will look like:

  • Consult with federal customers supporting a recently implemented ServiceNow platform

  • Install, custom develop, configure, and administer ServiceNow

  • Work independently conducting O&M on a supported ServiceNow instance maintaining steady state operations.

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders identifying new features to be developed that support the user base.

  • Work with Development team and other organization stakeholders to establish integration points between ServiceNow and other mission critical software applications

  • Work with MetroStar's leadership, business development, and proposal teams to grow MetroStar's ServiceNow expertise and customer base

The ServiceNow Business Consultant will be responsible for solution design, delivery and enablement of IT processes such as IT service management , IT operations management, DevOps, SecOps for our customers on the ServiceNow platform. The consultant will lead design of best practice solutions to deliver key business outcomes for customers implementation including; Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Configuration, Knowledge, and Service Level Management. The Business consultant works to develop an integrated view of the business unit using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques. Key Areas of Responsibility * Design, build and deploy business outcome driven solutions focused on designing processes which solve customer problems, are repeatable, accelerate value and employ process best practices and standards * Elicit ITSM and ITOM process requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, business analytics, task and workflow analysis. * Process definition and re-engineering to achieve operational objectives with ServiceNow * Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low level information to a general understanding and distinguish user requests from the underlying needs. * Drive change and align business units for successful implementation of business processes and organizational changes. * Able to collect and interpret client business needs and translate them into ServiceNow business, operational and technical design and implementation. * Collaborate and contribute as a subject matter expert to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs. * Define key metrics to qualify project success and client satisfaction. * Identify process and project risks and inefficiencies and provide recommendations for resolution and mitigation; perform contingency planning. * Incorporate continuous process improvement and change management strategies in planning * Applications and infrastructure management experience; consulting experience preferred. * Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal clients. * Manage time and expense to meet or exceed expectations defined in the Statement of Work * Provide high quality content deliverables using the appropriate document templates * Work with Professional Services Managers, ATAE's, Project Managers and customers to manage expectations and timelines to ensure expectations and commitments are being met * Conducts/leads design workshops for complex designs to meet customer, business and technical objectives Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor degree in business, computer science, a related technical degree or equivalent * Five years' experience delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation and support Other Required Qualifications * 3+ years working in the ITSM or IT services/consulting industry * Strong consulting experience leading service and solution definition and deployment ITSM strategy and consulting experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, HP ServiceDesk * Excellent written, presentation, facilitation and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective to c-level executives.
