Summary of Major Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position is day-to-day administration, configuration and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow platform supporting key Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes like Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Knowledge, and other service modules. In addition to performing support functions, the ServiceNow Administrator performs design and implementation tasks like requirements gathering, configuration, integration, and testing. The ServiceNow Application Administrator partners with users to create and modify process workflows, reporting and dashboards in addition to developing knowledge, technical and process documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate process changes and workflow enhancements in the ServiceNow application including self-service features and functions.

  • Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.

  • Manage support for ServiceNow configuration issues.

  • Work with business users to identify and refine business requirements and workflows.

  • Create ServiceNow reports and dashboards that support metrics needed for key performance indicators.

  • Manage system upgrades and update sets.

  • Prepare test plans and scriptsto perform unit, integration, and regression testing.

  • Coordinate and drive end-user testing.

  • Create andmaintain documentation for end user training.

  • Stay abreast of new features and functionality, playing a key role in driving ITIL process maturity.

  • Interface with external consultants on implementation and support of new ServiceNow modules and integrations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience in technology-related field.

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience as a ServiceNow Administrator, configuring core ServiceNow modules including Service Catalog, Incident/Problem, Change Management.

  • Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances and into production.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete goals independently.

Desired Characteristics

  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification preferred.

  • ITIL V3 Foundation Certification preferred.

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment (including SOX, HIPAA).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in an office setting, operate telephony devices, and a computer.

Position Summary The Associate Application Systems Administrator will assist in installation, upgrade and support of operating systems and assigned software products, specifically Tibco. You will provide technical assistance and direction to IS staff and clients as required. And assist in performance and tuning of operating systems and software products to meet performance objectives. This position can be filled at the associate or professional level. In this role you will: System Administration (100%) * Participate in installation and testing of operating system software upgrades or new releases and assess any impact to other software products being utilized. * Participate in installation and testing of COTS (Commercial-Off -The-Shelf) software upgrades or new releases. * Interface with appropriate staff or vendor during installation and in resolution of any problems. * Provide technical consultation in analysis and resolution of problems and take appropriate action to ensure maintenance of stated performance objectives to maximize system availability and minimize response time. * Assist in determination of backup/recovery requirements and integration with disaster recovery procedures. * Participate in capacity/performance analysis, problem analysis, testing, and tuning to ensure efficient use of resources. This includes development of appropriate reporting. * Assist in product evaluations, including recommendations as to applicability to WPS. * Provide on-call support for assigned operating system(s) and software products in event of production malfunctions. Analyze, resolve, and document modifications to operating system in resolution of system malfunction. * Work with all IS staff and clients to determine impact of new or revised applications on existing systems software. Professional Level Administration (80%) * Provide planning, analysis, implementation, and testing of complex operating system software upgrades or new releases and assess any impact to other software products being utilized. * Provide planning, analysis, implementation, and testing of COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) software upgrades or new releases. * Interface with appropriate staff or vendor during installation and in resolution of any problems. * Provide technical expertise in analysis and resolution of complex problems and take appropriate action to ensure maintenance of stated performance objectives to maximize system availability and minimize response time. * Determine backup/recovery requirements and ensure integration with disaster recovery procedures. * Provide appropriate documentation/reports to management. * Perform capacity/performance analysis, problem analysis, testing, and tuning to ensure efficient use of resources. This includes development of appropriate reporting. * Perform product evaluations, including recommendations as to applicability to WPS. * Provide comprehensive on-call support for assigned operating system(s) and software products in event of production malfunctions. * Analyze, resolve, and document modifications to operating system in resolution of system malfunction. * Work with all IS staff and clients to determine impact of new or revised applications on existing systems software. Leadership (20%) * Provide technical assistance to clients in a professional and accommodating manner. * Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff. * Take leadership role on moderately complex projects independently or as part of a larger project team. * Handle multiple competing initiatives and escalate issues effectively. You should have: * Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other Information Technology-related field OR equivalent post high school education and/or work-related experience * Specialized coursework and/or vendor training courses in assigned operating system specialty * 1 or more year of experience in Information Systems performing system administration * Experience planning, coordinating, implementing, supporting and maintaining COTS. (Commercial off the Shelf) applications installed on Windows Servers. * In-depth knowledge of primary COTS products supported by the team. * Grasp of the underlying server operating systems (e.g., Linux/Unix/Windows). * Knowledge and skill to configure and secure multiple Web Server and Applications Servers, including IIS, JBoss and Tomcat. * Strong customer focus (verses system focus). * Ability to develop and document departmental policies, procedures, application installations instructions, and application support documentation. * Knowledge and skill to troubleshoot application configuration and performance issues. * Skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Server operating system. Including Windows 2003, Windows 2008R2 and Windows 2012R2. * Ability to manage Application Service accounts using Cyberark. * Ability to communicate effectively and interface with PMO, clients and other IT departments in implementing new COTS solutions. * Knowledge and skill to restore critical applications as part of the yearly D/R rehearsal.
