Service Writer/Maintenance Coordinator

Job Description Job Description McCollister's Global Services is looking for a dedicated Service Writer to act as the liaison between our drivers and our repair vendors. The service writer's responsibilities include ensuring the driver's needs handled by coordinating transactions between the company and the vendors and performing cost and time estimates for those transactions.

The service writer will track repairs and the causes of problems, schedule the most appropriate service provider, and process the vendors' invoices. To be a successful service writer, you should possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Position Service Writer Overview Reports to VP of Maintenance Service Writer Responsibilities: · Developing strong customer relationships through the successful management of repairs and service. · Work with all departments and employees to ensure quality customer service · Arranging for vehicle repair service and maintenance, both scheduled and emergency. · Coordinates vendor payment through PO requests, EFS or credit card payment. · Process repair orders and invoices into Dossier · Scan and attach invoices, PM sheets and DOT sheets in Dossier · Maintaining computerized vendor profile information. · Monitoring vehicle records to check for regular scheduled servicing and future remedial work, · Schedules work with vendors by arranging appointments. · Conveying all necessary information regarding costs, parts, work, and technicians to management. · Talking with drivers to discuss their requirements and relaying those requirements to the Service Technicians. · Checking warranties. · Other duties as needed Service Writer Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent. Work experience and product knowledge may be advantageous. Computer literacy and knowledge of office software programs.

Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong record-keeping skills. The ability to understand and relate technical issues to the vendors from drivers' non-technical descriptions.

Candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
