C & B Material Handling, LLC (part of the C & B Equipment family), a leader and supplier of choice in material handling equipment, automation solutions, and industrial equipment rental, is seeking a Service Writer & Rental Coordinator for our location in Dothan, Alabama. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our service processes, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing our rental services.

Essential Duties:

  • Receive incoming calls from customers regarding maintenance needs on equipment and dispatch technicians to job sites.
  • Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager and ensure they are processed, closed, and invoiced in a timely manner.
  • Invoice customers promptly upon completion of repair orders.
  • Maintain Service Department filing and records.
  • Update customer profiles with information from work orders.
  • Monitor Service Technician efficiency reports.
  • Address internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department.
  • Manage shortages and expedite issues by reporting to the manager.
  • Oversee the rental process for the branch, including quoting, coordinating deliveries/pickups, customer billing, and tracking rental inventory.
  • Prepare and manage rental agreements with customers.
  • Assist in collection calls for past-due rental invoices as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in a service department or rental coordination role, preferable in the material handling industry.
  • Associates degree in Business/Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and service-related software.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands and duration of exertion required for all job functions.
