Job Summary:Providing services and support to internal and external customers, suppliersIn this role the Repairs Technician will assess a returned product, locate and document trouble with the damaged equipment or wiring, and coordinate the repairs effort. For minor repairs the incumbent will be required to perform basic turning, milling, drilling, grinded & Hot Half assembly and testing when needed. Attention to detail and an ability to understand/visualize complete Hot Runner Systems is required. ?* Key resources: other people and/or capital and equipmentThe incumbent of this role, Repairs Technician, must be able to self-manage daily work schedules. The Repairs Technician is capable of setting up and operating various machinery, tools and testing equipment. * Decision MakingThe Repairs Technician works with some supervision of assigned tasks; the incumbent of this role must be capable of coordinating tasks with different departments.
The incumbent of this role is responsible for coordinating the repairs for customer returns. The Repairs Technician will clean the returned product, complete and or determine the appropriate department to repair the component or plate. When possible the Repairs Technician will provide intermediate level repairs to ensure service commitments are met within the standard response time. ?Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Independently assess problems with assigned customer returns;* Diagnose problems and determine parts, supplies or tools needed to complete repairs;* Coordinate repair efforts with appropriate department;* Maintain record(s) by properly documenting system repairs - including time sheets, service forms, inventory and equipment related items;* Use, maintain, and secure test devices and tools used to adjust, calibrate, and repair equipment;* Ensure that all machining/assembly tasks are completed in accordance with specified run times to meet customer delivery times;* Conduct minor preventative maintenance procedures as scheduled;* Complete minor troubleshooting as required;* Notify Supervisor when run times are incorrect or product will not meet time lines;* Report discrepancies to the appropriate department;* Visits to customers sites may be required occasionally for repair or service requirements;* Make recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements;* Ensure ISO guidelines are followed; follow Job Instruction Sheets and Tag Procedures etc; when required by local entity. ?*
