The Role

Do you want to work for a leading Medical Gas Equipment Provider? BeaconMedaes is actively seeking an outstanding Service Technician for the St. Louis, Missouri area. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated and energetic individual to become part of our fast-growing organization.

Essential duties are focused on:

Preventative Maintenance and Repairs (85%) - Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on Medical Gas Products. Preventative maintenance should be conducted in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations (with regards to schedule and scope). Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning products, determine possible causes for malfunctions and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment. Test and document the proper operating parameters prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs. Provide walk-through evaluations and basic system assessments.

  • Provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations

  • Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills and professionalism

  • Serve as an ambassador for BeaconMedaes

  • Train and assist other Service Technicians as requested

  • Provide technical support to other departments and personnel as required

  • Promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

  • Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance and personal actions

  • Uphold a positive company brand through appropriate attention to the appearance of the company vehicle

  • Maintain the service vehicle per manufacturer's recommendations

  • Properly store and manage inventory levels of accuracy, to provide quick customer repairs (one visit)

Recordkeeping and Documentation (10%) - Complete job reports daily, time sheets weekly, expense reports should be turned in at least monthly and other job-related paperwork as required.

Warranty Part Returns (5%) - Return parts replaced under warranty as requested by Technical Support, Quality or Service Management. Returns must be completed within two weeks.

Perform assigned duties in accordance with BeaconMedaes standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer. Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish/ maintain communication with all people/ employees considered necessary to get the job done. Perform additional assignments as required.

What we expect of you?

Your mission:

  • Generates and maintains critical field level and corporate level relationships with existing customers with a focus on utilizing a strong technical background in medical gas equipment.

  • Targets potential opportunities to up-sell product.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical gas equipment at customer facilities, including completion of relevant paperwork and reports.

  • Promote customer focus with the BeaconMedaes standard of excellence - keeping us First in Mind and First in Choice.

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of technical field service experience maintaining and repairing equipment

  • Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul and repair of a wide variety of compressed air or vacuum equipment

  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills

Education:

  • Associate Degree or Equivalent

  • Technical training in mechanical and/or electrical, or equivalent experience

Skills:

  • Must be comfortable using a computer

  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components

  • Customer focused

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Detail orientated

Travel:

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • The ability to travel on short notice may be required.

The Shop Floor Scheduler manages the execution of the MPS (Master Production Schedule) in the value streams. This includes the management of visual systems to communicate / monitor the sequence of production orders and ensuring the availability of resources (tooling, raw material, etc.); The Shop Floor Scheduler also creates and maintains sequenced production according to the MPS. Job Responsibilities * Sequence work orders in line with MPS for specified products and production lines understanding all the physical and manning constraints of these lines. * Monitor manufacturing output/performance daily against the schedule, challenging and understanding whenever performance differs from standard. * Monitor Stock cover daily in order to avoid stock-outs as well as overstocks by adjusting the execution sequence if possible or raising the issue with the Master Scheduler. * Maximize shared manufacturing resource output/utilization while ensuring full coherence with MPS product mix, volumes and required availability dates, * Ensure the sequenced plan is feasible and balanced. * Monitor availability of raw material / components and escalate as required to Procurement / Master Scheduler. * Proactively communicate/escalate to the Master Scheduler / value stream management potential production execution issues/constraints to trigger preventive actions against potential supply failure. * Weekly track, challenge and report to Management team Schedule Adherence with reasons for deviation, * Ensure tracking and updating of actual run-rates, batch quantities and changeover-times data. * Review and maintain ERP accuracy on orders - materials posting, confirmations, and completion dates accurate. * Ensure meeting customer deliveries on time. * Support customer meetings and report as required. * Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related discipline OR high school diploma with 2+ years of experience using MRP/ERP Systems required. * Must be a US Citizen due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements. Preferred Qualifications * Complex manufacturing industry experience highly preferred. * MS Excel experience preferred. * Previous experience preferred in one or more of the following: daily scheduling & execution for forecasting & demand planning, SIOP / MPS / MRP, Master Data Management, inventory management, internal flow & warehousing preferred.
