The Field Service Technician is a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains and modifies Siemens imaging equipment at our customer sites. Our FSTs represent the "Face of Siemens" to the customer.

Our Field Service Technician will perform service, preventative maintenance, modifications and installations on medical imaging equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision. The primary Imaging Modality for this specific Job opening is MR/CT imaging Equipment. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.

The Field Service Technician reports to the Regional Service Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions.

Location- Mpls/St. Paul, MN.

General Requirements:

Job Family Responsibilities:

Performs complex equipment installation, trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls. Performs complex

product and service training to customers. Performs complex maintenance using tools, test equipment, etc., and

completes and documents all installations, inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures. Performs service on complex imaging systems.

Communicates and interfaces with customer personnel to provide quality service and feedback on problem evaluation and resolution. Performs assessment of complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommends modifications or improvements. May participate in the negotiation and administration of service or systems contracts.

Education:

Associates degree in Electronics or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required.

Specialized skill training/certification may be required.

Knowledge and Experience:

Successfully demonstrates thorough/ advanced knowledge of a technical or specialty area. Generally, 5-8 years of

successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Strong Customer service skills are a requirement.

Direction of Others:

May provide general guidance to others and train lower level employees.

Key Working Relationships:

Frequent inter-organizational and external contacts.

Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.

Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.

Operation and maintenance of a wide variety of hand power tools, shop tools, and automotive and electrical test equipment * Efficient skills in basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles. Requirements * Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail. * Willingness to learn new and innovative automotive technologies. * Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the public. * Perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting. * Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines. * Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals. * Clean driving record is imperative * High School Diploma. * Associate Degree or Certificate in Automotive Technology a plus * Retail automotive service experience a plus.
