We are seeking a Service Technician who will perform maintenance and repair functions of a more complicated nature of water vending and ice bagging machines in accordance with the Company's Best Practices and as required in assigned district(s). Ideal candidates for this position are self-motivated who have good customer service and communication skills. Must have mechanical aptitude, general math and computer skills and enjoy working outdoors. Most of the job duties are performed independently and with limited supervision.

Partial List of Responsibilities:
Performs routine service, maintenance and repair of water and ice vending machines on a regular service cycle at all locations on assigned route.
Records service and maintenance activity on water and ice vending readings on the handheld scanner and transmits daily activity to Corporate Headquarters at the end of the day.
Where applicable, ensures that collections are made, transported and deposited as instructed in a timely, accurate and safe manner.
Drives a Company-provided vehicle in a safe manner and observes all security measures established by Primo in the operation of its vehicles. Keeps vehicle clean at all times and reports any malfunction promptly for repair.
Prepares for each workday by making sure that the vehicle is adequately supplied with the proper tools, filters, test equipment, parts, etc. Maintains proper inventory of all tools and supplies checked out and reports monthly inventory counts.
Ensures all service calls in assigned route are resolved within the timeline outlined by the Company's policies and closed at the time the machine is serviced.
Due to the nature of some remote routes, where there's limited staff resources due to the geographical location, the Service Technician may be required to be on "Call-In" or available to cover service calls on weekends and on Company-observed holidays. In either case, the Company's "On-Call" pay guidelines will apply.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Valid Driver License with a clean driving record and a satisfactory background check will be required
Basic understanding of plumbing (water flow, pipes, valves, etc.) and some mechanical devices (i.e., motors, switches, etc.).
Able to frequently lift and/or move 30 lbs. and periodically lifting and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Work with heights of 10 ft. or more via ladder or scissor lift
Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions, including the use of a procedure/training manual
Assertive ability to troubleshoot, manage and diffuse tense situations caused by machinery breakdowns through exceptional customer service skill set and technical knowledge
Self-sufficient, positive attitude, professional demeanor and appearance
Ability to prioritize and have an acute sense of urgency
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills
