Maintenance Technician - Systems Technician As part of our Facilities Team, this position will focus largely on our security access and HVAC systems. In this role you will: Serve as the first responder to HVAC and security system inquires and issues, including troubleshooting and bringing contractors onboard when necessary. Maintain multiple components including Lenel security access system and ALC building automation system. Modify the security schedule outside of typical business hours for special events. In addition to being part of a great team, this is an opportunity to learn as you go, while also performing a wide variety of tasks that will serve to maintain our three buildings at our Natick Headquarters campus. Additional Responsibilities ▪ Plans facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations. ▪ Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. ▪ Inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. ▪ Develops criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes. ▪ Responsible for ensuring preventative and ongoing maintenance for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other infrastructure systems are completed for operational efficiency and maximum facility maintenance. ▪ Regularly inspects and monitors equipment and responds to irregular or malfunctioning conditions. The work is either handled personally or overseen, as it is completed by a contractor. ▪ Responds quickly to all routine requests (i.e. requests formally submitted through the Facilities mailbox) ▪ Responds immediately to emergency situations that may be detrimental to the facility's operations and coordinates with other external vendors. (Immediately is defined as "dropping everything that you are doing to respond.") ▪ Performs handyperson maintenance duties, furniture moves, etc. - responsibility is evenly distributed amongst team members Skills ▪ Experienced in operating a variety of tools ▪ Effective written and oral communication skills ▪ Able to work well with minimal supervision ▪ Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures ▪ Working ability of Microsoft Office ▪ Quick learner Physical Demands ▪ Maintenance Technicians are in constant need to be on their feet and participating in physical labor. ▪ This position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, etc. as needed, at times for extended periods, while performing the duties of this role. ▪ Employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. ▪ The physical working environment can include tight spaces and can be in or outdoors depending on the needs of the assignment.
