Primo Water is a fast growing consumer products company. We are seeking a Service Technician who will perform maintenance and repair functions of a more complicated nature of water vending and ice bagging machines in accordance with the Company's Best Practices and as required in assigned district(s). Ideal candidates for this position are self-motivated who have good customer service and communication skills. Must have mechanical aptitude, general math and computer skills and enjoy working outdoors. Most of the job duties are performed independently and with limited supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine service, maintenance and repair of water and ice vending machines on a regular service cycle at all locations on assigned route.

  • Records service and maintenance activity and water and ice vending readings service records located in each of the water and ice vending machines. Enters water and ice vending readings on the handheld scanner.

  • Where applicable, ensures that monetary collections are made, transported and deposited as instructed in a timely, accurate and safe manner.

  • Drives a company-provided vehicle in a safe manner and observes all security measures established by the company in the operation of its vehicles. Keeps vehicle clean at all times and reports any malfunction promptly.

  • Prepares for each day's work by making sure that the vehicle is adequately supplied with the proper tools, filters, test equipment, parts, etc. Maintains proper inventory of all tools and supplies checked out and reports monthly inventory counts.

  • Ensures all service calls in assigned route are resolved within the timeline outlined by company policies and that these are closed at the time the machine is serviced for the service call by scanning the machine bar-code.

  • Due to the nature of some remote routes, where there's limited staff resources due to the geographical location, the Service Technician may be required to be in "Call-In" mode or available to cover service calls on weekends and on Company-observed holidays. In addition, this position may occasionally be required to be "On-Call" or standby duty. In either case, the Company's "On-Call" and/or "Call-In" pay guidelines will apply.

  • Excessive driving


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must have a clean and valid driving record. Primo's fleet of vehicles are smoke free.

  • Will be required to successfully complete a background check and a basic pre-employment physical

  • Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical and/or construction

  • Able to frequently lift and/or move 30 lbs. and periodically lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.

  • Work with heights of 10 ft. or more via ladder

  • Ability to troubleshoot, manage and diffuse tense situations caused by machinery breakdowns

  • Self-sufficient, positive attitude, professional demeanor and appearance

  • Ability to prioritize and have an acute sense of urgency

  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment with cross collaboration
