HOJ/HESCO Services seeks outstanding candidates for a Service Technician position to trouble shoot, repair and maintain crane, conveyor and material handling systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions

  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area

  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems

  • Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system

  • Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches

  • Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair

  • Repairs broken parts

  • Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder, to make or repair parts

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and five years related mechanical and electrical experience with some troubleshooting experience

  • Ability to work on-call rotations

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with customers or other employees

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge in the use of computers and basic data entry skills

  • Requires a valid driver's license with a good driving record

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug screenings

As a Service Technician, you will be expected to provide technical support for customer related issues as you uphold stands and initiate continued improvement in the service provided to our clients. What You Will Do: * Calibrate, troubleshoot, inspect, and service all Bioquell equipment * Provide technical support for customer related failures, breakdowns and problems * Ensure all service-related records, including customer calls and emails are documented in Sales Force * Perform service, warranty work, training and validation as needed for customers * Communicate with clients to ensure ongoing awareness of technicians' activities and equipment status while on site and at least one week prior to arrival processes and procedures * Support the sales teams with customer quotes and technical questions Position Details: * Candidate must reside in: Salt Lake City UT area * Route/territory will include: Western US * Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, including occasional weekend work * Weekly overnight travel Minimum Qualifications: * Highschool Diploma or GED * Two years of work or Military experience * Ability to travel 90% of the time * Candidates are required to be vaccinated in accordance with industry standards * Must have valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record * No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity Physical Demands: * Ability to complete pre-employment assessments including a physical, lift and/or carry 50 pounds and drug screen * Personal protection: Personal protection equipment (PPE) may be worn on customer sites Preferred Qualifications: * Technical School or Bachelor's degree * Electronics or Electrical background About Ecolab Life Sciences: Partner with our customers to deliver comprehensive solutions and technical expertise to ensure product quality and safety in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
