The Service Technician is responsible for working with the Home Medical Equipment/Respiratory Therapy colleagues in order to facilitate the safe, appropriate, and timely delivery of all Home Medical Equipment goods and services. This will be accomplished by each Service Technician meeting their responsibilities in these areas: Delivery, Dispatch/Shipping, Inventory & Delivery Support, Receiving, Repair and Maintenance, Equipment Prep.
Delivers and maintains equipment and delivery of supplies.
Maintains inventory controls in the warehouse, the warehouse appearance, and the accurate transfer of products from the warehouse to the proper departments.
Completes accurate documentation and confirmation of equipment/supplies necessary on each delivery.
Provides instruction regarding equipment usage and completion of work order equipment use/home safety assessment form upon each new set up.
Places notes on each work order as needed to document any customer service concerns.
Assist receiving, equipment prep, repair & maintenance, shipping, and dispatch as needed in accordance to CHAP standards.
Performs and documents cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and performance of equipment evaluation and minor repairs prior to returning equipment to warehouse as patient ready.
Performs the safe operation of service vehicles and transport of equipment.
Trans fills oxygen using safety guidelines and fills out trans fill records, assignment logs and assign lot numbers per McLaren Home Care & Hospice guidelines and FDA regulations.
Prepares equipment and supplies from the warehouse for orders on delivery route and distribution of paperwork to assure proper transfer and inventory control.
Participates in on-call rotation for patient services.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma, or GED equivalent.
Valid Michigan Chauffeurs driver's license with medical card.
