Service Technician - Food Safety

Rochester Midland Corporation is searching for a Service Technician for their Food Safety division in the Amarillo TX area. In this extremely important role, you will be the bridge between sales and service. Receive hands-on training and initial mentoring by shadowing sales reps in the field. You are a huge resource for your customers, as this type of equipment is crucial to the operations of their businesses. Feel good knowing that you are providing a much-needed service and contributing to the overall safety of your customer's facility. Get the chance to upsell products and gain much deserved commission. To be successful in this position, this candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate with people at all organizational levels, be mechanically inclined and have prior Sanitation or Maintenance experience in the food industry is a plus.

Job Requirement

As a Food Sales Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Being part of a dynamic team of co-workers whose enthusiasm and unified support provides a foundation for success.

• Developing positive relationships by maintaining continuing contact with accounts to promote the Company's products.

• Providing services to customers in accordance with the Division's Minimum Service Standards.

• Providing potential customers with proposals on all products in accordance with prices as approved by management.

• Handling and installing various chemical dispensing and application equipment.

• Identifying areas of opportunity to produce new business lead opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in Food and Beverage Plant - hands on experience within a plant, or sales to Production, Sanitation and Quality required, as well as working knowledge of water treatment fundamentals.

• Experience in maintenance and repairs - CIP, plumbing and electrical experience a plus

• Working level knowledge of water treatment fundamentals.

• Two years of industry related experience required - maintenance, sanitation, or food plant.

• Valid Driver License

• Computer skills including e-mail, Word, and Excel.
