Who are we looking for as a Service Technician?

Patterson Dental is looking for an independent worker who is interested in the field of bio-medical (dental) device and equipment repair.

Service Technician Overview:

As a Service Technician, you provide repair and installation on a variety of dental equipment and products including networking, computers and software in a Windows environment. The Service Technician learns and follows manufacturer guidelines relative to the repair of devices. Training is supplied by mentorship program with other branch technicians, manufacturers, online training courses and the Patterson Technology Center.

Responsibilities

  • Determining parts, supplies or tools needed to complete service requests and using, maintaining, and securing test devices and tools used to adjust, calibrate and repair equipment.

  • Managing vehicle inventory and restocking as necessary.

  • Ensuring proper vehicle maintenance guidelines and safe driving habits are followed.

  • Repairing equipment to meet manufacturer's specifications as well as all company, OSHA or other agencies' policies related to asepsis.

  • Providing technical support after initial installation of equipment, PC software and hardware and ensuring that service commitments are met within standard response time.

  • Other duties as related to the Service Technician position.

Qualifications

What background and experience is needed as a Service Technician?

  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • General mechanical aptitude with prior experience in the areas of carpentry, plumbing, heating, electricity, and/or electronics is required.

  • Competencies in the areas of customer service, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal and communication skills are highly desired.

  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.

  • Technical training in the bio-medical or electronics field is preferred.

  • General computer proficiency, including knowledge of Windows-based programs and experience with peripherals such as printers, backups, scanners and modems is strongly preferred.

What physical capabilities are required?

You must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

VIEW JOBS 11/17/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-02-15T00:00 <p><strong>Home Improvement Service Technician</strong></p> <p>Under the direction of the District Production Manager, this role will lead the Home Improvement Products team in providing, identifying, establishing, promoting, and delivering swift and superior customer service throughout their respective District territory. This position will develop and maintain strong relationships with customers as well as office personnel by promoting open communication channels to improve performance. This position will utilize processes (SOP’s) and techniques, such as scheduling, product ordering and new job inspections to maximize identify and minimize causes of customer dissatisfaction with service and products provided after the original installation. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting and negotiating reasonable resolutions for customer complaints. This position will maximize all available resources to insure that Transform Home Improvement Products is leading the industry in providing excellent customer service.</p><p><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br> </p><ul> <li>Responsible for running on an average of 56 appointments per month, excluding weekends.</li> <li>Improve and maintaining customer service response time. Average days to complete (from open date) of combined product lines, should not exceed company average.</li> <li>The incumbent will be responsible for performing fieldwork necessary in resolving customer complaints along with monitoring/inspecting new installs to insure products and services provided are to company standards. Help improve installation technique/methods of Sub-Contractors through field training.</li> <li>Physically fit to provide necessary fieldwork to resolve customer complaints.</li> <li>Maintain high level of customer satisfaction through efficient/timely customer resolution.</li> <li>Maintain high level of communication with respective Service Administrator to insure efficient rate of productivity is reached.</li> <li>Maintain open communication with District Managers to assist as needed with resolving customer issues.</li> <li>Maintain good driving record.</li> <li>Good written and oral skills. Responsible for writing up service work orders, completing product order forms and communicating with customers on regular bases.</li> <li>Maintaining high performance level of appointments and completions of customer complaints.</li> <li>Travel within District territory to meet scheduled appointments.</li> <li>Work with Installation team to enhance and insure current installed jobs are in compliance with company installation methods and procedures through field inspections.</li> <li>Maintain service vehicle (i.e. wash truck weekly, oil changes etc.) and tools to insure equipment is in safe operating condition.</li> <li>Estimate and provide repair cost on service contracts when necessary.</li> <li>Insure that safety policies and practices, concerning vehicles, tools and equipment are complied with.</li> <li>Perform related duties as assigned.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>High School Education or equivalent.</li> <li>Three (3) years experience in product application and necessary tools</li> <li>Two (1) years experience in customer service related field</li> <li>Great selling techniques</li> <li>Computer and typing skills.
