Working with customers to ensure our products and systems provide maximum performance, our Service teams solve a wide variety of key industrial challenges. We increase productivity and reliability, lengthen product life span and improve safety. Critically, we also reduce costs, energy consumption and emissions. We currently have a Service Technician III role open in our Mid-Atlantic region. This role will be 100% remote with overnight travel to customer sites in a regional area. Periodic travel may be required outside of the geographic region. A company car is provided for customer-site travel. The preferred location for this role is Maryland or Northern Virginia.

Your responsibilities

  • The Service Technician DC Level III Technician will work on the addition or removal of wiring and connections on non-working DC power equipment. Responsible for weekly tool inventory, writing and submitting the MOP (Method of Procedure) and JIM (Job Information Memorandum). Responsible for timesheet for self and crew, safety adherence, and jobsite house cleaning.

  • Responsibilities

  • On-time completion and quality of the installation project

  • Support job package administration including weekly tool inventory, write and submit the MOP, JIM preparation and submittal, create timesheet for self and crew, safety adherence, and house cleaning

  • Responsible for inventory and staging of equipment and materials, weekly status report to supervisor, reading and interpreting specifications and drawings

  • Add or remove all wiring and connections on non-working DC power equipment and assisting Level IV Technician on working equipment

  • Assist Level IV Technician on lead verification (voltage)

  • Add or remove telecom batteries

  • Add or remove common systems equipment hardware

  • Follow all EHS guidelines

Your background

  • Basic Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/GED
    • Three years of experience in Telecom DC power equipment installation
    • Two years of experience in pulling & sewing cable, construction of cable racking, bay mounting
    • Valid driver's license
    • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word
    • Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time
    • Ability and willingness to work varying shifts (swing shifts)
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
    • Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries
    • Frequently pushing or pulling of cables up to 60 lbs.
    • Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.
    • Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time
    • Continuous standing
    • Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
    • Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
    • Frequently crouching or squatting
    • Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold

    • Prior field engineering experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Become a maker of possible with us.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Promote BD Peripheral Intervention products to customers and potential customers through clinical support and education within a defined geographic area and as directed by the District Manager.</p></li><li><p>Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and hospital staff on technical matters relating to BD Peripheral Intervention products through case support, conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one in-servicing, and/or available internal/external physician education training programs.</p></li><li><p>Establishes and maintains relationships with customers, hospitals and physicians. Obtains new users and applications for company products and services.</p></li><li><p>Observes and reports market trends which affect BD Peripheral Intervention sales, service and product development.</p></li><li><p>Represents BD Peripheral Intervention in accordance with policies and procedures.</p></li><li><p>Processes customer complaints and returns in accordance with established procedures and policy.</p></li><li><p>Maintains company automobile and company property.</p></li><li><p>Complete and processes BD Peripheral Intervention reports including but not limited to: Clinical Specialists reports, expense reports, monthly product tracking reports and complaint reports in accordance with established procedures and policies.</p></li><li><p>Fulfills the duty of a Territory Manager in vacant territories and supports endovascular procedures as directed by the District Manager.</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Associates Degree or B.S. in Nursing, Cardiovascular, Radiology, Vascular Surgery or other equivalent technical discipline.</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in the Operating Room, Interventional Radiology Lab, or Cardiac Cath Lab.</p></li><li><p>Current credentialing and / or certification in respective clinical discipline.</p></li><li><p>Advanced knowledge of vascular access management, vascular surgery, and endovascular medicine preferred.</p></li><li><p>Strong time management skills with an ability to maintain numerous priorities and meet established deadlines.</p></li><li><p>Self-motivated, takes on additional responsibilities, and manages priorities with minimal supervision.</p></li><li><p>Frequent travel required.</p></li><li><p>Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.</p></li><li><p>Product knowledge and all features and benefits of BD Peripheral Intervention products</p></li><li><p>Surgical and endovascular procedure knowledge, adequate to support clinical cases</p></li><li><p>Basic anatomy</p></li><li><p>Medical and surgical terminology</p></li></ul><p>For certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company's receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
