Job Description

Player One Amusement Group, a division of Cineplex Entertainment LP, has an immediate full-time opening for the position of Service Technician in the Houston, Texas and surrounding area.

As a Service Technician you are responsible for repairs and maintenance of amusement games, both in-house and periodically off-site. A successful candidate has a mechanical aptitude with the desire to increase their repair knowledge.

Job duties:

  • General maintenance on all amusement gaming equipment, i.e., coin operated, crane, etc. Includes but not limited to; replace components, test equipment, cleaning, preparation, ensuring repairs are done in a cost effective manner.

  • Analyze equipment problems and troubleshoot repairs.

  • Assist with installation of Amusement equipment on location. Some overnights may occur.

  • Support service personnel.

  • Prep new and used amusement games.

  • Ensure we meet customer's expectations.

  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of all in-house and off-site work areas. Adhere to all health and safety requirements by the organization.

  • Maintain compliance with Federal, State, Municipal, Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

  • Other miscellaneous duties as required.



  • A minimum of three years working in related field.

  • Solid low voltage electrical repair experience with mechanical aptitude.

  • Skilled in the practical application of electronics, mechanics and in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment of the trade.

  • Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • A reliable professional with customer service skills and adaptable to change.

  • Organizational and time management skills.

  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs.

  • A valid driver's license and clear driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. 5%
  • Ability to move/push gaming equipment. 20%
  • Sitting/driving 10%
  • Walking/Standing 35%
  • Bending/squatting 30%
