The Job Responsibilities

Draeger is now hiring an Ignition Interlock Service Technician

This position will Install, monitor, calibrate and remove the Ignition Interlock Device in accordance with state regulations from program participants? vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, monitor and remove interlocks from client cars, while collecting payments.

  • Download client data from interlocks as scheduled

  • Answer all incoming telephone calls expediently, transferring calls to staff or taking complete messages when appropriate

  • After hour emergency customer support as scheduled (i.e., on-call)

  • Maintain clear and accurate records and files. Prepare bank deposits, as required, along with daily reconciliations. Ensure all client files remain in a locked file cabinet and all client data remains secure at all times.

  • Prepare and maintain all equipment and supplies, including inventory of interlocks handsets, control boxes and helix cables

  • Maintain the Draeger image of a clean, safe and organized work area.

  • Submits quarterly progress report(s) to immediate manager

  • Willingness to travel to other Draeger facilities when necessary

  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned

Your Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or the equivalent in education, training and experience.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Related Experience:

  • Related experience preferably in the automotive mechanic and/or electronic field.

Special Competencies or Certifications:

  • State licensing as Device Service Representative, where applicable, provided by Draeger.

  • Ability to trouble-shoot problems that may arise with the computer programs or the client?s vehicle. Good problem solving and customer service skills and willingness to accept new challenges. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks.

  • Ability to handle several requests or calls at once and maintain a pleasant and cheerful manner while doing so.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel). Math skills and analytical thinking capability. Spanish as a second language is helpful.
