Position Title:Floorhand

External Description:

We are currently seeking a Floorhand for our Rig Services location.

Job Summary:
This position is a crew member of a well service rig responsible for performing services on oil and gas wells. Duties include assisting in rigging up and rigging down, pulling/laying down rods, tubing, casing and other functions specified by customer or well operator.

Job Functions/Duties

  • Assists the operator in rigging up and down, lining up the well service rig with the well.

  • Sets hydraulic jacks, handles pads/boards and assists in attaching the guy wires to the anchor.

  • Responsible for all elevated work associated with rigging up/down (i.e. removing

horse head from pumping unit).

  • Responsible for all work performed for the rod basket and tubing board (transferring rods and

tubing from the vertical racks to the elevator), performs servicing on the well.

  • Drives the crew truck as needed.

  • Operates tubing elevators for standing tubing in derrick.

  • Assists in picking up or laying down tubing, manually lifting the tubing from the rack onto the

work floor or vice versa.

  • Assists in walking the rods when laying down rods.

  • Reports any safety hazards, accidents or maintenance issues to the rig supervisor.

  • Ensures that work carried out is in compliance with company policies and procedures and

according to safety regulations.

  • May be required to work floors or operate the rig when needed.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Education Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent is preferred.

  • Basic oilfield well servicing experience, a minimum of one (1) year rig operation experience.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written.

  • Ability to interact with others in a team environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.

  • Basic problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills, to provide world class value to customers.

  • CDL B license is required to drive rig. Must meet all qualifications defined in the Motor Vehicle Policy if required to drive.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is preferred.

VIEW JOBS 12/6/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-06T00:00 RESPONSIBILITIES Primary responsibility is for Odessa area crude assets, i.e. nine crude oil product truck offloading spots, inbound pipeline customer deliveries, out bound pipeline movements to include but not limited to various crude oil products and pipeline stations in/around Odessa, Crane, and Barnhart, TX. Some emergency/area coverage and assistance for refined products area. Specific responsibilities include: * Ensures daily operational functions are performed safely and efficiently, includes overseeing product gauging, product transfers into and out of storage, maintenance of location appearance and equipment functionality, oversees preventative maintenance program, product quality and accountability. * Ensures compliance with company policies and relevant federal, state, and local requirements (e.g., PHMSA, DOT, EPA, DEP, OSHA, SIP) as they pertain to the operation and maintenance of assigned facilities. * Supervises the local terminal operations staff and is responsible for employee training, evaluations, establishing goals, scheduling, encouraging and motivating employees, counseling and taking disciplinary actions as necessary. * Ensures employees are held accountable for performing job responsibilities. * Makes routine daily inspection of facilities, and oversees contractors and ongoing projects at the terminal location. * Works in partnership with the commercial group and with market area customers to interpret and proactively respond to customer feedback and local trends. * May perform a product scheduling role as needed. * Assists with annual forecasting, budgeting, project scoping as it applies to the terminal location. * Represents the company in contact with community and government officials and emergency response agencies. * Performs vacation relief at facilities as required. * Performs all other duties as assigned. The final job grade and salary will be commensurate with the experience and skill level of the final candidate selected. REQUIREMENTS * The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in a lead role and be familiar with and experienced in the responsibilities required to operate a terminal facility. * Previous experience in supervising employees and/or overseeing projects and operations is preferred. * A minimum of 3 years industry operations experience and HS diploma is required, college degree is preferred. * A valid drivers license is required to drive a company vehicle. Additional requirements: The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English with co- workers, supervisors, internal and external customers; the ability to work in stressful conditions; the ability to adapt and respond in changing circumstances; the ability to use a personal computer with the Windows(R) operating system to complete time sheets, send and receive email, and access information posted on the Company's intranet; availability as needed to work on both a scheduled and call-out basis; and the ability to work at the assigned job site.
