Great American Risk Solutions provides industry leading non-admitted property and casualty products to the wholesale brokerage market. Our staff brings decades of experience in product development, claims handling, underwriting and service. Brokers count on Risk Solutions' innovative product mix to capture niche business and round out accounts with difficult exposures that need an expert's touch.

We are currently seeking a Service Supervisor to join the GARS team in our Cincinnati, OH office. Our ideal candidate would be in the greater Cincinnati, OH area to work primarily from home and occasionally visit the corporate headquarters.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day activities of employees performing policy administration tasks in support of the business. Assigns and checks work of team. Ensures accurate and timely completion of assignments.

  • Ensures employees have access to and are trained in the most current department policies and procedures.

  • Will process policies and/or endorsements as necessary.

  • Ensures that effective business relationships with internal and external customers/coworkers are developed and maintained. Ensures the provision of excellent customer service.

  • Participates in other departmental processes/projects, such as changes/enhancements to forms and screens, user acceptance testing for systems and policies, and reviewing impact to current policies/practices.

  • Maintains extensive knowledge of and ensures appropriate application of regulations, department guidelines, policies and procedures, and understanding of business and organization. Ensures compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.

  • Oversees internal controls to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of work. Makes recommendations to improve processes and procedures.

  • Requests or generates and analyzes management reports to track and assess unit performance, process flow, customer satisfaction, and other business metrics.

  • Responsible for performance and coaching of staff and has participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management. Provides training to new members of the team.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: Associate degree or equivalent.

Field of Study: Business, Finance, Liberal Arts or related discipline.

Experience: Generally, 3 to 6 years of related experience, including 1 to 3 years of leadership experience.

This job is non-exempt in California.

Salary Range:

$75,000.00 -$80,000.00

The wage range for this job is based on role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, experience of the candidate, the role's scope, complexity, and other business and organizational needs. In addition to the base compensation, we offer a competitive Total Rewards package, which includes but is not limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401(k) plan for full-time and part-time employees who are eligible for benefits.
