Service Sales Specialist
Alfa Laval is a leading global supplier of products and solutions for heat transfer, separation and fluid handling through our key products heat exchangers, separators, pumps and valves. We currently play a vital role in areas that are crucial for society, such as energy optimization, environmental protection and food production.
Alfa Laval's products are used in the manufacturing of food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, starch, sugar and ethanol. We are also used in nuclear power, onboard vessels; and in the engineering sector, mining industry and refinery sector as well as treating wastewater and creating a comfortable indoor climate.
Drive profitable service sales growth for Alfa Laval in the U.S. Hygienic Fluid Handling markets.
Expectations & Responsibilities:
Successfully execute service programs by supporting entire lifecycle of current and legacy products.
Focus on End-User OEM Part Usage, while engaging Distribution in growing the service business
Work with sales teams to find, develop and grow Service Providers in the regions
Execute regional sales and marketing plan for the service programs developed locally and centrally
Grow spares for all HFH products using Channel Partners and Service Providers to include Store Room OEM Part Set-up, Maintenance Procedures at End Users.
Leverage Installed Base and Ship-To information to develop target end users.
Develop and maintain significant knowledge of the market and the growing strength of competitors
Inquire and convert Non-OEM providers to OEM product at customer sites during visits
Traveling with BDM to customer sites with ALFA LAVAL equipment to convert to OEM spares and service
Gauges technical acumen of sales team & distribution partners and supports training to enhance
Follow-up on all large Service & Spares Project Opportunities
Travel estimated at 60%+
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities of the Successful Candidate:
Bachelor's Degree preferred in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
Typically 3+ years of experience in the sale and marketing of products via distribution channels
Experience with sale of products to the industrial marketplace
The candidate must be articulate, persuasive and self-confident, with excellent oral and written communication skills
Solid balance of analytical, strategic and commercial skills
Knowledge of Food Processing, Pharmaceutical/ Biopharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Beverage, Dairy and Cheese industry markets, companies, trends and applications a plus
Creativity and resourceful in approach to sales
