Service Sales Specialist

We are also used in nuclear power, onboard vessels; and in the engineering sector, mining industry and refinery sector as well as treating wastewater and creating a comfortable indoor climate.

Drive profitable service sales growth for Alfa Laval in the U.S. Hygienic Fluid Handling markets.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

  • Successfully execute service programs by supporting entire lifecycle of current and legacy products.

  • Focus on End-User OEM Part Usage, while engaging Distribution in growing the service business

  • Work with sales teams to find, develop and grow Service Providers in the regions

  • Execute regional sales and marketing plan for the service programs developed locally and centrally

  • Grow spares for all HFH products using Channel Partners and Service Providers to include Store Room OEM Part Set-up, Maintenance Procedures at End Users.

  • Leverage Installed Base and Ship-To information to develop target end users.

  • Develop and maintain significant knowledge of the market and the growing strength of competitors

  • Inquire and convert Non-OEM providers to OEM product at customer sites during visits

  • Traveling with BDM to customer sites with ALFA LAVAL equipment to convert to OEM spares and service

  • Gauges technical acumen of sales team & distribution partners and supports training to enhance

  • Follow-up on all large Service & Spares Project Opportunities

  • Travel estimated at 60%+

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities of the Successful Candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Typically 3+ years of experience in the sale and marketing of products via distribution channels

  • Experience with sale of products to the industrial marketplace

  • The candidate must be articulate, persuasive and self-confident, with excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Solid balance of analytical, strategic and commercial skills

  • Knowledge of Food Processing, Pharmaceutical/ Biopharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Beverage, Dairy and Cheese industry markets, companies, trends and applications a plus

  • Creativity and resourceful in approach to sales

VIEW JOBS 4/11/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-10T00:00 Overview The Client Service Specialist (CSS) Supervisor performs direct supervisory duties for the CSS line and safe deposit area, is relied upon to resolve escalated issues with clients and CSS staff, and champions overall branch operational activities. Supervisors will lead by example performing a 'Player/Coach' role, provide leadership and training for the branch and CSS staff; promotes new or expanded relationships for JFG by maintaining exceptional client relations and referring clients to appropriate staff for new products and services; completes work with a high level of accuracy; and assures compliance with all applicable JFG policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations. Annual achievement of goals will be delivered through consistent execution of JFG's vision and core values. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Position Specific Responsibilities * Ensures client transactions are processed according to policies, procedures and regulations. * Resolves more complex problems and issues; referring inquiries to the appropriate staff, and exhibits the necessary follow through with clients and/or staff involved. * Supervises CSS staff in daily activities, operations and internal controls. * Manages safe deposit area; ensures properly staffed and operates per necessary controls. * Gathers data, processes and analyzes various reports (e.g., currency transaction, returned items, etc.). * As head 'Coach', lead the team to continually exhibit interactions to develop a strong staff and meet client needs. Key components: individual coaching sessions, observations with clients, staff meetings, outbound contact opportunities, product education, closed referrals, etc. * Delivers exceptional client service through his or her own example along with appropriate follow through with clients and associates. * Acts as a 'Player' by performing CSS, safe deposit, and other operational and sales referral responsibilities. * Handles complete operations of the CSS line and vault. * Maintains knowledge of security and safety policies and strictly adheres to established procedures; assures internal controls are in place and proper procedures are being followed. * May represent JFG in various community or civic functions to further enhance JFG's image and develop additional business. Management * Effectively communicate performance expectations; monitor and hold staff accountable for their performance and their actions. * Act as a 'Coach' for associates to leverage strengths and understand and identify gaps in performance; conduct one-on-one meetings and timely appraise performance. * Provide development opportunities for staff aligning with their career goals and develops 'bench strength' for key positions. * Proactively recruit and maintain a pipeline of candidates who display requisite job skills and exhibit values consistent with JFG. * Create and sustain an environment which supports teamwork and mutual respect. * Communicates to team: corporate updates, business updates, etc. and conducts regular, meaningful team/department meetings. * Monitor and maintain appropriate staffing levels to efficiently execute department responsibilities. * Uses financial information to identify and implement cost containment or reduction programs and ensure expenditures are accurate and follow policies and procedures. * Models exemplary behaviors and actions for associates. Cross Sales and Referrals * Knowledge of full portfolio of JFG products; ability to cross-sell full breadth and depth of products. * Responsible for establishing, building and maintaining strong internal relationships across all lines of business to ensure consistent and frequent referral activities. * Expand new and existing relationships by advising and recommending appropriate solutions that will exceed client expectations and positively influence client retention. * Consistently meets or exceeds cross sell/referral goals. Required Experience * Bachelor's Degree preferred; relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of degree. * 2 years in an operational financial services role. * Supervisory experience to lead a team to exceed goals. * Proven ability to exceed goals. * Strong communication, problem solving and decision making skills. * Demonstrated effectiveness in managing operational requirements. * Strong knowledge of products and services. * Solid knowledge of CSS transaction and operations processing. * Ability to cross sell and refer products and services.
