Position Summary:

The Sales Representative's main objective is to drive personal and company revenue growth through new sales & business development. This is done through prospecting potential customers, cold call activities, and meeting with decision makers of a commercial facilities to understand their needs and discuss ABM's technical solutions that will save them money on their owning and operating costs. The ideal candidate has a natural desire to succeed, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has demonstrated success in consultative selling through building genuine business relationships.

Essential Duties:

  • Aggressively hunt for new business by prospecting, cold call activities, networking, and lead generation

  • Set a minimum of 5 first appointments at the decision maker level weekly

  • Develop and maintain strong business partnerships with the purpose of gaining the client's trust, meeting their objectives, and delivering value added services

  • Perform site surveys and pricing

  • Build financial and life cycle analyses to quantify value from the customer's perspective

  • Generate and deliver impactful proposals that lead to signed contracts

  • Leadership of your customer engagements along with the desire, ability, and skills to manage the entire sales cycle

  • Participate in sales and industry training, and converting that training to sales results

  • Coordinate with operations in the branch location to ensure the customer's needs are achieved

  • Track all sales activities in

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree highly preferred

  • 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience or selling to building & facility owners preferred

  • Successful history of performing new business development activities, including: prospecting, research, and cold-calling

  • Hunter sales mentality, goal driven and self-motivated

  • Demonstrated record of success in selling services or other intangible business offerings.

  • Self-disciplined, results driven, and accustomed to winning sales awards through consistent high performance

  • Ability to conduct 150+ phone cold calls weekly, in addition to walk-in cold calls to prospective customers

  • Leadership character along with the desire, ability, and skills to manage the entire sales cycle

  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM desirable

  • A valid driver's license

  • Ability to do local travel/driving up to 100 mile radius from home office to customer site

Responsibilities The Rental Inside Sales Representative position is responsible for providing sales coverage to support Peterson's Power Rental retail customers. Contact will be made through direct and indirect channels. The ISR is responsible for supporting customers directly and via supporting the outside sales team. The ISR is to work with Operations, Marketing, Office/Administration support, the sales team (management and sales reps) to grow existing customer accounts, facilitate lead generation, and qualify leads generated through the service team, telemarketing and other indirect channels. This is an entry level sales position with the intent of training and mentoring this position to advance to an outside sales role (potentially a Sales Rep). * Generate quotes for customers and Sales Reps. * Assists in marketing programs and Power Point development. * Assists in trade shows. * Assists in all area of Operations/Logistics. * Assists in billing/invoicing/filing, if required. * Assists in the renewal of MSA's, contracts, agreements, etc… * Responds to the needs of walk-in customers. * Accountable for Customer Relationship Management ("CRM") input with retail customers within assigned territory. * Conducts proactive account management on assigned accounts by completing the customer profile function in Sales Link. * Assists in the collection of overdue accounts. * Gathers and updates customer equipment lists. * Uses Sales Link to document customer information, leads, activities and sales transactions. * Conducts research for Sales Reps and operations. * Contacts prospective customers to determine customer needs, present product information, and explain available services. Provides information brochures and other literature to inform customers and influence buying decisions. * Follows up on telemarketing leads. * Evaluates leads, effectively and efficiently, and determines whether to respond or pass the lead to sales resources management for assignment. * Stay current on Cat and competitive products in order to offer the best solutions based on customer interests and concerns. * Presents equipment and finance options and solutions, as needed. * Follows all sales processes and procedures. * Assist in outside sales calls and/or presentations. * Partners with management to ensure marketing campaigns are directed to the right opportunities for retail customers. * Assists with customer surveys as needed. * Works safely at all times, adheres to all applicable safety policies and complies with all company policies, procedures and standards. * Works within and promotes corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization. * Respectfully takes direction from manager. * Excellent work habits, attention to detail, attendance, punctuality, safety and cooperation are essential functions of this job. * Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. * Qualifications A minimum of a High School diploma and at least five (5) years industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the engine and power systems industry is preferred. * Ability to communicate in writing clearly and effectively; Read with comprehension the necessary related documentation such as interpret general business reports, technical information, sales and marketing data and governmental regulations pertaining to the industry. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. * Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization. * Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers/ coworkers, including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure. * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. * To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, and basic computer systems such as the internet and email. * Prior experience with Cat computer programs is a benefit but no required.
