What do you get to do in this position?

This position specifically supports the full range of installed base service offers including but not limited to, Engineering Services, Turnkey Installations, Preventive Maintenance Contracts, Power Distribution Equipment Life Extension offers such as Direct Replacement Circuit Breakers, replacement Motor Control Center Buckets and equipment repairs. If you have experience in sales, power system design, switchgear construction, power system maintenance or power system studies, this is an opportunity for you.

Travel 3-5 days per week within the territory to meet with our distributors and end users while developing new sales opportunities, pursue sales leads, and address the needs of larger accounts (commercial and industrial). This position utilizes excellent products/solutions/services skills and customer knowledge to act as a consultant for high-level customer contacts regarding customer's present and future electrical power distribution needs

  • Foster strong working relationships with Schneider Electric field office sales teams, operations team, post shipment plant contacts, and external distribution channel personnel.

  • Encourages partnering as a means toward account penetration and increased profitability.

  • Set goals and objectives, develop sales/business plans, establish call plans and strategies, develop account profiles and execute the sales plan.

  • Apply market and account skills necessary for dealing with specific, high-level target customers.

  • Identify and develop account penetration strategies.

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Schneider Electric products/solutions/services and competitor strengths, weaknesses and applications. Apply knowledge of Schneider Electric products/solutions/services to customer's needs.

Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through in-depth knowledge of customer's organization, increasing account dedication, timely communication, and follow up.

This job might be for you if:

  • 5 years technical knowledge of electrical distribution and electrical switchgear and switchboard construction

  • Knowledge of Square D, GE, Westinghouse, Federal Pacific, and Allis Chalmers legacy switchgear and switchboards

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com

  • Ability to present engineering services and retrofit solutions to end user customers

  • BSEE or BSME

VIEW JOBS 10/11/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-09T00:00 Role Summary: The primary responsibility of this role is to support GE Power field event investigations as engines are repaired at the Jacintoport Houston Service Center. This role coordinates with the engineering and customer facing community to ensure investigative work scopes are properly created, implemented, and executed to gather all root cause evidence. Essential Responsibilities: Essential Functions (Responsibilities): * Fully investigate and document select field events (forced outages, unplanned engine removals, etc). * Support other field event investigation team members located around the world to ensure their work scopes are properly implemented and executed. * Author field event and root cause analysis reports for customers and GE customer facing team members. * Meet with customers and GE commercial team members to discuss findings and recommendations. * Support GE Power service engineers in gathering data and photographs as requested * Work with product line team in identifying fleet issues and field fix programs * On as needed-basis, support the broader product service engineering team with field issue resolution. * On as needed-basis, support in work scoping engine repair options for continued-time units * Coordinate with the quality organization, service centers, and FieldCore on quality issues, including implementing corrections and containments (CAPA). * Less than 5% travel expected. Qualifications/Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree or above in a technical discipline * Minimum of 3 years of gas turbine technology experience Desired Characteristics: * Understanding of configurations and operating profiles of GE Aero customers * Understanding of impact/influence of GT hardware & hardware condition/dimensions on engine performance * Strong understanding of common failure modes in gas turbines * Familiarity with both engine and package hardware, manuals, and bulletins * Experience with GE Aero's Industrial Repair Manual (IRM) * Demonstrated ability to represent GE in technical and commercial customer communications. * Demonstrated ability to interact successfully in a matrixed organization. * Training in Apollo, TOPS8D, or other RCA methodologies * Demonstrated team player * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Excellent formal technical writing skills for customer reports * Commercial sensitivity with a focus on customer needs * Gas Turbine technology experience * Metallurgical laboratory experience * Green Belt or Black Belt certified (GE Employees Only) To stay connected with exciting news and the latest job opportunities from GE businesses, follow us on twitter: @gecareers About Us: GE Power is a world leader in power generation with deep domain expertise that helps customers deliver electricity from a wide spectrum of fuel sources.
