Position Description:

We are looking for a service and parts advisor to act as the liaison between our customers and our diesel technicians as well as work closely with the maintenance manager. The position ensures customer service by working with customers to determine their tractors issues and problems by determining their repair timeline and working with the diesel technicians to convey the customers' concerns with accurate repair costs and descriptions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consults with diesel tech regarding necessary repairs

• Ensures all labor hours and parts are captured for accurate billing; ensures invoices contain a detailed description of services rendered and parts used

• Keeps management team, business partner managers, and safety informed about the repair statuses of tractors

• Works with diesel techs to ensure they are capturing all labor hours and parts in the industry-specific software and closing out work tickets in a timely manner

• Schedules appointments for prospective Independent Contractor tractor inspections and informs safety and recruiting about the pass/ fail status of the inspections

• Works with all existing drivers and prospective Independent Contractors on driver maintenance requests

• Serves as a liaison between the truck shop and accounting on invoicing/billing matters

• Prepares and calculates repair estimates; processes payments in a timely manner

• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and customer service skills; keen attention to detail

• Organizational, decision-making, problem-solving skills, mathematical, and comprehension skills

• Possess a strong understanding of diesel technology and of the diesel pair industry

• Proficiency with industry-specific software

• The ability to communicate with technicians, customers, and management

• Maintains positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Must be able to pass the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Check

• Must be able to pass criminal background check

• Posses a valid driver's license

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• 2 years' previous diesel repair experience or
• 2 years' experience as a service parts specialist or advisor role

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
