Job Summary:

The supervisor provides direction to service center personnel and is involved in the daily activities to meet or exceed operational goals and objectives. The supervisor will effectively communicate with the local sales and service team and customers to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. The supervisor is expected to promote and sustain Continuous Improvement, develop new hires and take progressive steps in maintaining a safe work environment. This position has direct customer contact and is authorized to transfer and/or position place patients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned:

  • Coordinate daily work assignments, oversee and engage in field and warehouse activities.

  • Manage equipment transfers and cycle counts to ensure an accurate on site inventory.

  • Manage parts spending and inventory to meet Service Center(s) needs.

  • Exhibit excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Sustain a clean and safe work environment, including 5S activities. Safety training, meeting and medical testing requirements are kept up-to-date; ensure that standard work is followed.

  • Assisting Team in achieving measures and goals by monitoring reports from FSO, JDE, and Cognos.

  • Root Cause and Countermeasure deployment to SOM.

  • Actively involved with new hire process (participate in the interview with the SOM, training, development, etc)

  • Manage schedules for work, various shifts, on-call, and vacation.

  • Participate in the on-call rotation as required.

  • Work with SOM, Sales, Service Team and /or the Customer to resolve issues and improve service.

  • Demonstrates a pro-active approach towards safety, health, and quality in compliance with all company, governmental and customer regulations.

  • Ensure Team compliance to all company policies and procedures to support company objectives, including service documentation, SOP/WI training, expense and fleet reporting, maintenance and calibration of test equipment and filing and record keeping systems in accordance with standard work.

  • All other duties assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Service Operations Supervisor is a leadership role with management authority. The supervisor will lead the hiring process, performance management and has the ability to oversee work distribution and administer discipline to employees.


  • When duties require must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company standards.

  • 18 Years or Older (Can not operate vehicles that exceed 10,000 lbs. if under Age 21)

  • Willingness to travel for periods up to one week.

  • Meets Expectations or better on the Year End APEX and "On-Track" for the current year's performance

  • No Corrective Action in the last 12 months

  • No Avoidable Vehicle Accidents (AVA) in the last 12 months (AVP can review to determine qualification)

  • Previous mechanical/hands-on experience preferred

  • Previous driving/delivery experience is preferred

  • Perform all Essential Job Functions

  • Able to perform Basic Administrative Tasks

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Two year Associate Technical Degree preferred.

  • Experience with medical devices, FDA regulated products preferred.

  • Ability to use computer to perform assignments including proficient use of required software programs including MS Word, MS Excel.

VIEW JOBS 12/3/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-03T00:00 This position serves as the Lead Supervisor in support of the CSL Plasma Center Management. 1 Act as lead supervisor in ensuring the day-to-day activities of center operations are compliant with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable federal and local regulations as well as HR policies. Advise management of ER issues or escalated donor issues. 2 Maintain clean efficient work environment, and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available. May conduct routine internal procedures and documentation audits. Promote safety in all actions. 3 Develop donor flow knowledge and assist with identifying problem areas and implement corrective action as needed with Management oversight. Ensure excellent customer service by all staff. 4 Partner with center management in collecting and analyzing data to support continuous improvement and meet center production goals. 5 Partner with center management so that the center is "inspection ready" at all times and customer requirements meet the safety of donors and employees including compliance with OSHA regulations. 6 Collaborate with management to understand and determine center financial responsibility including budgets, forecasts and financial impact to business including center production goals. 7 Participate with management in the recruitment and selection of center operation staff and in conducting performance appraisals and performance feedback. 8 Assist management with audits by working with center quality and quality assurance team to develop effective corrective action plans to address any areas of deficiency. 9 Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in the SOPs. 10 Occasionally act as back-up manager in absence of Assistant Center Manager. 11 Must successfully complete the leadership development program and be able to relocate within 12 months. 12 Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information. 13 May be cross-trained in other areas to meet the needs of the business. 14 Bilingual skills may be required, at the discretion of the organization, to meet the needs of the business. 15 Perform other duties, as assigned, to support business needs.
